Well, couple of things on my mind. Being a first time TB/Chevy owner, I thought I would share my views. Previous ride was 95, and 97 Nissan Pathfinders.

1.) Love the Car like ride.

2.) In a time where bigger rims are comming on, at the very least they should have offered 18"'s standard, but the 17's are alright.... :worried:

3.) BOSE Sound is nice, although I think my old 97 Pathfinders BOSE sounded better, but I tend to judge based on half of max sound performance....I have not raised it to the max yet, and dont intend to. :undecided

4.) Power sunroof is a bit clumsy, I preffer 2 switches. Sunroof could have been much bigger.

5.) I don't like the fact that my engine sounds like an 89 Ford escorts engine; during low RPM

6.) I'm not sure how I feel just yet about the 4wd, although I am a bit worried at the ammount of juice it takes to actuate the 4wd, it took quite a dip the other day when I tried it. Living here in Buffalo where below zero degree weather is the norm in the winter, going from a manual drive to a auto drive worries me some.

5.) I hate the fact that the drivers seat is starting to mold on the left side butt area. I don't know how much closer to the center console I have to be  On a side note, I had a TB rental not to long ago, and this TB's drivers seat had the same issue, but worse, so much worse that the hard plastic covering below the seat was broken, and the seat tilt levers had been ripped right off.

6.) I am pleased with the power of the engine, although after driving the shorter model during a rental stint, I do think the EXT's should of had a bigger power plant standard than the shorter model. Not the same  The shorter model was Fun to drive.loads of power ;)

7.) I don't know, maybee a rear window "pop" switch

Although I am mostly pleased by my purchase, I do wish I would of gotten the Envoy instead.......maybee it was the 6000.00$'s price difference

Let the MODS begin............ :D
Hope I don't offend anyone, I do love the purchase overall, heck I could not beat the deal........Nothing mechanicly wrong yet.

Seat mold? Butt mold? Like mildew? :rotfl: I couldn't resist.... ;)

If you're at first unhappy with the 4wd, try some new tires.
I put Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo's on my 03 and performance was flawless in the winter (upstate NY weather - not as bad as buffalo though). I'm assuming you were fiddling with the 4wd auto, the 4high should satisfy you in almost any snowy condition

It's hard to size them on the 17's so shop around to see what will fit best

Good luck with your new 05, I got mine 3 months ago too and it's opened up nicely after 3,000 miles

Ditto about the drivers seat. My '03 has that problem. The cushion is 'squashed' down on the left side form entering and exiting. So much so, that now the plastic on the side is broken. I believe it is held on with 1 screw now instead of 3. Pet peeve.......

I think I shoulda waited on buying it and looked a little harder at the Envoy. I dunno. I don't really drive it anyways, can't pry the keys from the wifes hand. :)

Yep, well I was just fiddling around with it, you know, just to see if it made noise, or whatever.......and I noticed my Batt gauge take a dip while the drive was transferring to 4wd. Had me wondering about that cold weather, and the batt.

Havent yet reached 3,000, we'll see what happens ;)

Like the power vent rear quarter windows? My 04 EXT has them, but I have seen many 05s with the power vent windows deleted... :m2:

I personally wish this was an option on all TB's... not just the ext's

What I ment, was the rear window. A manual switch by the driver to "pop" open the window from inside.

The rear windows opening on a SWB would be awesome!

Also, homertime, I looked at the AT Revos, and wanted them, but they were backordered 2 weeks and I needed tires the next day for a trip to CDA towing the boat. They were supposed to have a better rating than the Open Country A/Ts, but the Open Countrys do ride well, cant wait for snow!

Yeah the old blazers and jimmy's had that, don't know why the TB/Envoy didn't keep the feature

Really? My 96 Jimmy's rear windows didnt open, but it might have been because it was the base model and didnt have any option except for 4WD. Didnt even have a tape player! (BTW, I did get a CD player installed with keyless entry and a basic alarm system within a month of getting it.)
