Ok today I took my truck to school and drove back afterwards. Twenty minutes or so later I get back out to my truck and its sitting on its a$$. So I then took it to the dealership to have them check it out. Any ideas?

It's got a leak somewhere. I'm sure they will find it easily.

Do they patch these leaks or will they replace the whole thing. Is this a common problem, expensive to fix after warranty?

I found out today that it was because the exhaust was mounted too close to the right rear airbag and just burned a hole through it. The bag is about 3something plus tax and installation.

$300 to replace an air spring? That seems a bit excessive. Flat rate book shop time is 1.5 hours, The air spring is GM Part number 15089028 (as far as I can tell...) and lists for $86.48 at GMPartsCheap.com.
If your truck is out of warranty, find a good independant shop that you trust to do the work.

That was the reason that Borla doesn't specify their I6 dual outlet exhaust on an Envoy with the air suspension, if you installed it too close to the air-bag it could melt or burn a hole in it. - Quite a few have installed it on an SLT with the air suspension, but they didn't want the liability. Do you have an after-market exhaust, which prompted them to charge you for the repair? (I would expect the warranty to cover the repair if the exhaust was still stock).

Another member here, I think it was NobleFourms wrapped that part with header wrap. I might do the same. The stock exhaust has a heat shield that is banded on and if you could mount it somehow that might work also.
EDIT the heat shield from the stock exhaust is spot welded also.

Ok I have gotten it all straightened out and should get the truck back into my possesion tomorrow. the 3something figure I had was for the part and installation at the dealership. I took it to Ron and Mike up @ Vengeance Racing who did the install and took care of it no problem. It appears that possibly from the hit my ss took from my ex driving it pushed the exhaust up next to the bag which from there created a leak. Anyway, Vengeance Racing is awesome with the work they do and the customer service they provide!
