I put a Goodyear MT/S 265/75-17 on a Stock TB 17 inch rim and mounted it on the front, with and without Wheel adaptors...
It was right up against the Upper Control Arm WITHOUT adaptors...
Some Basic images with measurements: (pic is of stock wheel/tire just cause I had it so it was easier)
(Large Image) http://www.compunetresources.com/tiremeasure1.jpg
Basic Drawiing in paint: http://www.compunetresources.com/tiremeasure2.jpg

Also, whith Adaptors:
wheels turned hard right.... 1/4 In between front of Tire and inner fender and 1 inch between back of tire and inner wheel well.

Same for hard left.

All measurements were on the DRIVERS SIDE only...

Thanks..
I am going to remeasure with the same tire on the 17X8 rims witha +23mm offset...
I think I can maybe get a 285/65 or 285/70 in with a little trimming for the latter,Just on the front inner fender:D :D :D

Yes, that would be great to know since you have the same rims as me and the same BDS lift. I know scd0196 has 265/70/17s on +25 offset rims. A couple of mm should not make a difference. Let me know what you find out about tire size on the incubus wheels without spacers. Thanks.

One thing I forgot to mention in my 33" tire thread a while back.

Before I got new wheels and tires, I had my 18" summer rims and tires on when my shop installed the BDS suspension lift. They called me and asked if I had any troubles with the tires hitting the corner of the knuckle / control arm as it was VERY close. Not even enough room to put your pinky in between.

I said I knew it was close but that I never had any problems. They still recommended that they grind down the bottom corner a bit. This is the corner that is closest to the tire, it is a 90 degree metal corner and quite "sharp".

You can see just of bit of the grinding down just above the tire in this picture:

There's lots of metal there so grinding down the edge does not really detract from anything, it basically eliminates such a sharp edge if it is close to the tire. Plus it gives a wee bit more room. If doing this however, remember to paint it over with anti-rust paint afterwards.

That would be great, because I am hoping to run 265/70/17 on my incubus rims without spacers.

I think mine are +22, but I'm hoping that it isn't so close that 1mm makes a difference. Where did you get your rims from? I got mine from JKMotorsprts.com.

Yeah, mine are the black and machined aluminium 501's. Picked up my lift yesterday and hopefully am going to put it in tomorrow. I need to find a spring compressor though.

And another set of measurements off the rear.
This was without Adapters, so just add the inches to the number on the inside, or convert your offset to inches. These were taken with stock rim and offset:
