Hello everyone!

I've just been amazed as how much info is on this site. It was also FANTASTIC to see someone post a step-by-step how to with regards to replacing a headlight bulb. I was outside scratching my head for a while trying to figure out how GM wanted those serviced! :)

We have a 2003 Trailblazer LT EXT. Straight six, etc. 93,000 miles in New England. The truck has been wonderful for us, and is a monster in the snow. We have had a drip that turned into a puddle in the last few days in the driveway. I pop the hood and with the flashlight see a red pool on the frame rail and one of the tranny cooler lines all covered in muck. There's my leak!

I bring it to my independent ( Goodyear dealer) who has done all of my work for years, and he says the line is the culprit. It is leaking both in the front near the radiator, and back at the tranny. They are rotting, and he really didn't want me to drive it home.

I called Enterprise, got a rental and he has to order new ,lines on Monday. Now, he works on quite a few TB's and likes them. No major issues. This is the first he saw that did this.

Anyone else? Is this common on a higher mileage TB? Has there been a GM tech bulletin on this? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

This would be the first I've heard of a trans cooler line corroded to the point of leakage on a barely 4yr/old GMT360 chassis? They are a steel type line with push-lock fittings. I'd bet yours is leaking from a fitting or from rubbing/fatigue as opposed to corrision. You'd have to clean the area to diagnose.
