I'm new to the forum...lots of good stuff on here.
Got a quick question, I notice that when I accelerate from a stop while turning, I hear a slight grinding sound from the rear of the vehicle (03 TB), sounds like it might be the differential. I believe my vehicle has the locking differential. Is this the sound of the differential "locking" and is normal, or is this something I should have looked at? Seems to be worse when pavement is wet. Thanks.

Yep, that's the locker. I hear it VERY faintly sometimes, not all that often. I'd take it to your oil change place and have them check the fluid; you may want to replace that or top it off and see if it lessens the noise. It shouldn't be "ratcheting" like old-school posi-lock rears on musclecars (Muncie era of the 60's and 70's) but it's definitely not going to be silent either.

Check in your glove box on the lid should be a list of all RPO codes. If it says G-80, you have the locking differential.

i noticed mine do that when i would make hard turns, i haven't heard it since i first bought the car though.
Was the rear end fluid changed recently? The locking rears must have either the additive or the new GM fluid (smells like grapes).
I switched to redline 75/90 in my CTS V for the rear dif and tranny.
