we finally got some snow here in pa. and i got a chance to use my 4wd. i noticed when i was climbing out of my parents steep driveway while in auto4wd there seemed to be a delay when the front wheels would engage and start spinning. there was also a little more of a clunk when the 4wd kicked in than i thought there would be. is the delay because of being almost at a stop or is it that bad at higher speeds. it dont seem like it kicks in fast enougth to me. does anyone have a problem with thiers or it it best to just use 4h. any advice would be great. thanks

The reason there is a delay is because it is in 2wd, and will not send power to all 4 wheels until it senses a slip in the rear. At that point, there will be a "clunk" which will them send power to the front wheels and power all 4. If you want a faster response, just put it in 4Hi when you know you will need all wheels, and A4WD when it may be needed.
