A couple questions about the SS:
1: Is the SS higher or lower than the older models (ground clearance)?
2: If i were to buy the SS rims for my truck, about how much would they cost?

1. The SS is about 1in (or cm, cant remember) lower than regular TBs.

wholesale $350? I think you may be mistaking the 17's that look just like them?
I think that's too low, but if they're really that low, maybe i'll consider them too

That is the correct price. In fact I could sell them for $325.00 ea. plus freight if you decided to buy a set. GM currently shows a qty. 47 in the system.

Dude!!! I wish I would have known earlier that you worked for a gm warehouse! I would have bought my clearance lights stuff from you, not gmpartsdirect and newchevroletparts. Ohh, well.
Hi From PARIS Greg !
In my dreams, i see the SS rims in my 03 Black TB ! :D . The stuff is that the SS will not be imported in FRANCE for the moment, so can you help me to find a dealer who can accept to ship a set of complete wheels here in France?
If you find that ?!......you 'll come and visit PARIS !!
Thanks

This might be off-topic (slightly)..
but how much are the STOCK 'SS' (lowered) springs Greg?
I'm thinking of putting the TB SS lowering springs on my 2003 TB instead of the aftermarket springs avialable. I figured it's been tested by GM Engineers and should have the quality ride.. I wonder if I need to replace the shocks as well..

Actually.. I think the SS height is about the same. Non SS's have 17 inch wheels. The SS has 20's. so the height rises 1.5 inches over non ss. Then take the 1 inch lowing up front and 2 in the back and you about the same height. I parked next to my old one lastnight at the dealer and the roof line was just about the same give or take a half inch.

You're forgetting to consider tire sidewall height. The 17's use a taller tire, the 20's shorter. Overall diameter should be roughly equal.
And if you can eyeball 1/2" in height difference just by parking two trucks side by side you have better eyes than I.

Much better in every way........ 1/2inch is just a guesstiment. I agree there isnt much difference, but there is enough to notice.

From the Chevy website:
A performance suspension with lowered ride height also is part of the package and was tuned by GM’s Performance Division at several racetracks, including Germany ’s legendary Nürburgring – a challenging road course that features more than 12.5 miles of turns and drastic elevation changes.
Additional specifics include:
Ride height reduced by approximately 1 inch (25 mm in front, 45 mm in rear)
Rear air-leveling suspension with onboard air compressor
