I was speaking with a guy on another forum about his Trailblazer SS order, and he is actually getting vehicle #1 off the line. It is already through paint and should ship on the 17th or 18th of this month. He expects the worst case he will have it in his garage by the 1st of November. He said there are a bunch more already in the various stages of production. Let the fun begin!

Damn! I wanted #1... with a June order date I thought I'd be close. Oh well, I should be in the top few builds. I too am expecting my truck to ship next week.. can't wait to break it in and see what it will do. :D

Motor Trend and Truck Trend have already test drove a TB SS. Unless the assembly plant sends a letter with the TB SS, hard to tell who has #1.
I'm not trying to be a smart azz here. It could be the first available for sale, and the previous were classified as pilot models.

I will agree with you on this. Both TBSS's at the Texas State Fair had regular GM VIN#s. I copied one down and thats what allowed me to catalog parts for these vehicles.

Well hey guess what I'm THAT guy! :) A couple comments, you guys saying you've seen Trailblazer SS's at shows what you saw were pilot or CTF cars, not regular production vehicles. Those vehicles almost always have regular VINS and do not wear EX tags at end ;)
My SS #1 Was produced this morning (I already have a VIN) and is already in an Audit area awaiting a ship to commerce order that should go effective Friday. Those of you who had GM Order tracking access could have seen mine was the first one quite easily by the fact I had a 3400 code (Broadcast - Start Production) about a week before anyone elses even got sequenced (Code 3300) not to mention mine was painted before any of the other orders were available to sequence hehe
So yes westbayou wasnt blowing smoke, he was serious lol! BTW as I write this a total of 10 TB SS's have gone to code 3800 so some of you should be getting trucks shortly ;)
If any of you have order #'s I'll be happy to track them for ya!

I may have some pics soon I'll see what I can do :) If any of you are around Moraine and have an early order you may get yours before mine since I'm in Michigan but we'll see :) I do have the truck scheduled for some prototype parts development so you guys should have some go-fast parts relatively soon as well ;)

GTP, fancy seeing you here. I had been meaning to tell you about this sight. Congrats again on the order, can't wait to hear about it. Out of curiousity, do you have the ability to see where the trucks are shipping? I am just hoping that down here in Florida we aren't going to have to wait an extra month or two for them to start arriving!

GTP, couple of questions:)
Did you opt for AWD or 2WD?
What color did you get?
:D
GTPprix
10-18-2005, 03:20 PM
AWD; It's a necessity here in MI and since this will be my Fiance's truck I want to make sure it's easy to pilot in the snow :) Besides she likes doing AWD launches muahhaha
We chose Black since we werent real thrilled with blue and for some reason she didnt want silver (I wanted silver originally). But black looks menacing on this thing!

I've had my eye on this thing since the day they released the concept and I'm disappointed I won't be getting one thanks to that Employee discount making a deal too good to be true!
Congrats to all you guys picking them up in the next few weeks, I'm sure you won't be disappointed

New to the Forum- Lotsa good stuff!
Just got my TPW (target production week) of 11-7-05. This is the first TBSS for my dealer in Chicago. I ordered mine on 10-05 fleet as I am in the leasing business.
I too struggle with the MPG but really compared to what? The competitors, to which there are none, are within a few miles per gallon. For the few extra bucks the conversation is well worth it! I also have a 03 Maruader w/ mods which too promotes thumbs up, stares and good conversation amongst those that appreciate goood ole American Muscle!
Sorta curious on the rumbles out of that single exhaust.............?
