Bought my truck used last aug 06, TBSS. with 11000 miles. Saw that gm is extending all warranty's on certain vechiles for 5yrs 100000 miles. Am I included in this?

I believe that it has to be a certified used vehicle purchased from a GM dealer after March '07 http://www.unixboard.de/vb3/images/smilies/sm-nachdenk.gif

Yeah, this sorta ticks me off too. The point is to prove to industry that GM vehicles have the quality backed by warranty. So when I bought my 06 in Dec, I asked about getting the 60/100 warranty. No deal. Now they are extending it to certified used back to '02 model years. So I can get a certified used 02 with the warranty but not a new 06?

They should just extend it too all owners back at least 2 years but I think they figured that we already bought our new cars so who cares about us, but if we traded in our vehicle and someone else bought it then it would have the warranty. Generally it is just a marketing plea to get people to by certified used vehicles.

You get what you pay for. A certified vehicle is nothing more the a used vehicle with a warranty and a higher than average price. In all truth you are better off buying a warranty after you by the vehicle.. I was a finance manager at a dealership I would know. Besides that extended waranty is only powertrain. If you bought a top of the line warranty which would cover anything but wear and tear items (not tires brakes battery etc.) you would be better off.

I bought mine used with 9600 miles on it. Mine is an 06 that I bought in Nov. 06. But I didn't get from a GM dealer. So I'm out of luck on the extended warranty?
My wifes 05 Ranier was bought new from Buick. Is it covered by the 5 yr/100,000 mile warranty now?

I wouldn't worry about it. If you are posting on here you are going to mod it anyways, right?
