I just wanted to give a heads up.
For '07 (ok, so we're late) we are going to be raising prices. Prices will be in effect as of February 22. If you order before then, I will honor our current prices. The cost of our base tune will be $139 instead of $99. We have sold a whole lot of $99 tunes - and thank you guys so much for your support. The core charge for these 02-05 vehicles will be $50 now. The core charge for the 06+ non-SS will remain at $99.
So, this it what it looks like for you:
02-05
1. Send in your computer - $139 + shipping
2. Use core program - $139 + $50 (refunded if you send in your PCM) + shipping
3. Use loaner program - $139 + $50 (") + $50 (loaner fee) + shipping
06+ non-SS
1. Send in your computer - $139 + shipping
2. Use core program - $139 + $99 (refundable) + shipping
3. Use loaner program - $139 + $99 (refundable) + $50 (loaner fee) + shipping
We are making the core charge more affordable on the 02-05 (reduced from $99 to $50) so that you can keep it for an affordable price. Our $150 special will go away, and it will be the regular core program - so if you want a new, tuned computer and don't want to return your stocker, your total cost is $189 plus shipping.
And just to remind you if you do a core program in any situation YOU NEED A CASE RELEARN. If you send in your computer or use the loaner program you do not.

So the 22nd will be the last day for the $150 special?

No, the prices are changing that day so you need to get your order in before that day to get the $150 special.

guess its pcmformore now:(
I understand that this is a decent increase relative to the overall previous price (like 40% depending on what option you go with). However, I have shopped around a lot for tunes (still haven't made up my mind) but pcmforless still appears to be the most cost effective option...especially for those who want a spare pcm.

The price increase may mean an increase in business in the next week or so, as those who like me were on the fence about a tune get in before the increase.

Even at $189 the price is still well worth it. if you get a $200+ K&N or other intake you might sound different and feel a slight increase in performance. If you get a tune for less money you would get much more bang for your buck. :m2:

guess its pcmformore now:(
1. Shop around, we are still some of the cheapest tuners out there with some of the better results and customer service
2. Show me another mod that gets you 2-3mpg, 10-14hp, better shifting, better driveability, more response from a stop all for $139......

I guess someone always has to complain.
Theres quite a few reasons why we are raising prices a touch. They include financial reasons and getting overworked here. If you feel that the tuning we offer here is not worth the price we ask than you don't have to buy it. This is America
As far as the PCMformore comment. I don't know where you are getting that. Try to find someone as cheap as us who offers a tune of our quality and actually has service to back it up.

Will any of the E-fan related items increase in price? I already have the tune.
Thanks,

Don't buy it's as simple as that. No ones twistin your arm. Go out and buy a Jet chip or something..they are not the only ones out there. It's your money, but spend it wisely.
Look at the post for these guys, and then look at the competition. I have not seen any real complaints about PCM, except for the "Case Relearn" They have no control over that, you have the option to send them yours to avoid this (I am). It took me 3 1/2 months to decide and I ordered mine 10 mins ago.

A 40% jump in price is "raising prices a touch" ?
No thanks, I'll pass.
Perhaps you should pass on replying to this thread if you only have something negative to say?
 Look at the big picture - seriously - is $139 a lot of money when you consider everything you get with our tune? The amount of time we spend with customer service? Answering phones, emails, PM's about questions around the clock? Better yet - compare it to what some of the other vendors charge. Or blow $300 on a jet chip that does nothing for you.
Guys, the $99 was an intro special. Instead of keeping it only for a month like we had originally planned, we ran it longer than that because we got such great results. We had this price for almost six months. And even added a $150 special for months now. We're going back to regular pricing. The amount of time that we ran both specials was incredibly fair, in my opinion.
Have a little tact. If you think our prices are unfair, I'm not forcing you to buy it anyway

The price will likely go up in the future but no plans as of yet. IF we do decide to raise them we will give you ample notice.. You think some people would appreciate the notice we gave here.. but I guess thats not the case.

I fell ya man... I'm currently funning off of baby budget....:worried:
But don't worry Alvin... I will pay your price for it bro... I've heard nothing but GREAT results coming from these tunes....
I'll have enough money squeezed out from saving in about 2 weeks or so. (I've gone so far as to not drive as much.... just so save the money I usually spend for gas....)

Yea, I know firsthand. Absolutely Top notch work, the tune is unbeatable (at least until EFILive gets a LL8 2Bar OS going, then a supercharged I6 will be faster), and if you are going to whine about $40 then order one now. $40 is a lot to some people, but you gotta pay to play (even if this is one of, if not the cheapest mod out there).
Come on guys, when PCM4Less came onboard they had a killer deal going, and it worked. There are tons of guys with their tunes who love them. Personally, I wont touch a TB or a Voy unless it has a tune because stock they shift like crap, need a lot of help to downshift, and are lazy-a$$ everywhere. A tune fixes all that plus more. I have the tune file on my PC that I have in my TB now (I have EFILive), and when I open up my stock PCM read, almost every one of the tables (probably 80%+ of them) have changes. Some are not really critical such as DTC and AC parts, but all of the operating parameters are tweaked for performance.
I guess it could be just me out here ravving about their tune, but look around and find 1 person who is not satisfied with their tune (or got their money back or a reflash). Customer service is what makes or breaks a business, especially in an environment where you are playing with a 25K+ truck.

I've been kicking around the idea of purchasing a tune for my TB. I know I kicked the idea around too long, and I will be paying the difference. It's not really a big deal I'm the one who missed the deadline. I do have to say though, I sent Alvin a PM on 2-14-07 02-14-2007, 03:08 PM

Buy a PCM
Hello, my name is Jacob I'd like to speak with you directly as I'm ready to purchase a PCM for my Trailblazer.
Please call me @
Thanks!
I have gotten no response to this message. I just got of the phone with Kelly, and I have to say the customer service was not there.
It seemed like there was no patience, or effort to help explain any of the questions I had.
Don't get me wrong I do want to purchase this (even if I have to pay the increased amount) but I'm really shocked. I've heard nothing but good feed back for PCM for less.
I hope this is not setting the stage for future communication.

I imagine that they are really busy right now, they might have had a rush of people ordering them before the deadline, like I did after 11PM on the 21st.

To be fair you could have called us. We have a posted phone number and regular business hours. It seems kind of odd to send a PM with your telephone number telling us to call you. Why not just call us during business hours?.

in his defense, he did call...
but on PCMforless's defense... I came on the forum the other day, learned there was a tune by you guys, learned the sale was ending, and without delay i called up and talked to Kelly and I could tell she was busy, so i asked what i needed to ask, placed my order and was on my way. the rest of the info she needed i e-mailed to her so as to not take up anymore phone time. She also mentioned there's been a rather large influx of orders and borderline shortage of PCMs there this week... so i'd attribute feeling you got with them to their great reputation on the forum and a huge demand of orders to fulfill with not enough hours in the day...
i'm excited as heck to get mine :woot:
THANKS!!

Sorry, didn't originally catch that.
Last week here was crazy. We raised both Colorado and trailblazer pricing. The goal is partly due to more expenses, partly due to a special finally not being a special, but the major goal is to slow down. While we may not answer the phones until 10pm 7 days a week. I guarantee you we work till at least 12am on weekdays and usually all day Sunday trying to catch up.
I have to say there's no excuse for being rude on the phone. I'll talk to Kelly about it. However, she is doing an amazing job for me and to be fair she deals with probably 4-5 class A JERKS a day so sometimes she can be irritated by the time you call. Its only human nature. Personally I am busy doing other things so I'm very limited to time spent answering calls. On days when I don't have much tuning or R&D going on and I have to answer phones I can tell you it doesn't take long before you get wore out or pissed off.. You would be amazed at how many people are flat out rude and obviously it doesn't take many like that to ruin your day.
Just yesterday we had a guy call who was quite pissed and ranting because he didn't get his computer back yet.. Come to find out he sent it parcel post so long story short it didn't even make it to us yet!!! The whole time he was completely rude and obviously if we hadn't received the PCM yet how where we supposed to flash it and have it returned before he got pissy? He never apologized or anything for being so rude on the phone.
My point is we deal with some characters on a daily basis.. Unfortunately that can wear at our patience a bit and it sounds like you may have called when her patience was running on dry.

I don't know exactly who you are - but I can only think of one person who I was slightly irritable with on the phone this morning, and this person kept cutting me off and arguing with me about the price. Finally the only way I could get his attention and explain to him that $139 is for the tune alone and not the loaner/core was by interjecting and blurting out what I had to say. I am not irritable on the phone without being pushed to a certain limit first.
