Interesting. I wouldn't object to my two favorite companies merging... So long as they keep the Duramax AND Cummins.:)

I can see the combos now: Tahrango (Tahoe + Durango), Ramerado (Ram + Silverado), and of course, the GC SS:eek: (I'm sure you got that one.)

Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler. Mercedes would sell it's share in Chrysler.

And GM would inherit Chrysler's debt. I think it's an unwise move, at least at first glance. Further analyzation would mean they're just doing away with their competition by taking them over.

8 Cylinder Cummins with 12 Speed Padleshift Alison. Hey, i can dream, can i?
and it would make sense for GM to mix viper and vette architecture and make a V-10 vette (another 12 speed please) and maybe improve the vettes handling my combining StabiliTrack and Chrysler-Daimler's Steering system.

you know you'd droule. And with the vette as a 12 spd lambo, maserati, and all those other italian companies wouldnt have any room. The 8 cyl cummins and a 12 spd alison would sloughter the powerstroke. and maybe we'll get bmw someday?

I heard Mercedes dumped Chrysler Corp because it was so unprofitable. I know a few SRT fans are probably pissed off but Chrysler might be one company with worse problems then GM.
I don't see why the trade commission wouldn't allow GM to buy Chrysler. Toyota is becoming the biggest company now. At least the domestics will be able to fight back some what. But I don't see Chrysler's technology making it into GM cars or vise versa either. A Hemi in a Vette is a sick thing to do IMO. GM would lose a lot of potential buyers then. Besides the Hemi is a gas hog with only around 25 more HP then the 6.0L and 100 short compared to the LS7.

if the sale goes through, GM will keep Jeep. Kill Dodge. Send all Chryslers to the Rental Fleets and stop all GM rental Fleets cold.

Look at GM's history.
They became #1 by gobbling up the competition.
No anti trust issues in my opinion.
GM / U.S. needs a smartcar dealership / service network + a minivan line.
GM has mucho debt so it's unlikely
I don't care what happens, just sell me a camaro SS already!

Cerebus owns 51% of GM so in a way GM and Chrysler are now together.
