I'm very excited about it after talking to a few of you and reading your posts.

I chose the $150 special, as I found out my mechanic will do the relearn for me for next to nothing.

I do have one question. I am having the Onstar Analog to Digital upgrade done at the stealership here next week as they are the only place to get that done.

Is there anything involved in this process that you are aware of that will interfere with the tune?

If so, I'll do put the tune in afterwards.

Nope, Onstar is a seperate system. You should be good to go!

Whee, it is here...

Should I put it in right away or wait until I can get to my mechanic for the CASE learn?

I tell ya Alvin... I work in watercraft performance racing and repair, and I encounter the same thing. You tell customers you MUST do something. They have it in the back of their mind what u said, and they decide to neglect the advice of the expert and just continue on like business as usual just because every SEEMS to be working ok... oh, that expert must have no idea what he's talking about

I'm fairly new here, and i ordered on of your tunes the other day, and while searching the forums, I am ASTONISHED at how many people don't grasp the concept yet about the case and security learning. It doesn't get anymore crystal clear. It's a sticky in your forum, it is MANDATORY to do a case relearn if it's not your original PCM... and case relearn is different than security relearn... rocket science? yet people slap your tune in, everything seems ok... "oh lucky me, i don't need a case relearn, my car runs" :duh: :duh: :duh: :duh: :duh:

1000 miles on a new tuned PCM with no case relearn... that's just downright user neglect and abuse to your truck man :suicide: i'd be embarassed to even post that in the tuner's forum

rant over....

Alvin... get some tissue paper that has "CASE RELEARN MANDATORY on all new core PCMs" written all over it in every which direction and use it as packing material with the PCMs... you still won't get the point across :D

Yeah folks, I figured "whenever I got around to it" was a bad idea.

How long is safe? I can put the damn thing in at the head of the mechanic's driveway if needbe.

The literature that accompanied the PCM says "as soon as it is convenient."
