TrailBlazer is expected to be refreshed in a manner similar in size and price to the Nissan Xterra, creating a niche off-road vehicle that will slot under the Tahoe in price range

I read this on a website anyone know any insight to this manner and what GM's plans would be to make the TB more offroad capable I know they had a Z71 concept that never came about and a North Face edition that seemed to be more about the name than actually making it a true offroad vehicle....

From what I've heard/read, the Hummer H4 is suppose to be the "replacement".

From everything talked about on here, and any information I have heard, they are supposed to be stopping production of the TB around 08-09, somewhere in that neighborhood.

Who knows what Gm will do. I'd love to see them come out with a second generation...version 2.0. They could correct all the mistakes they made, like giving us a 6x5 bolt pattern, or, bolting out front diff to the oil pan, and running drive shafts through it, or even offering our motor in other things (like the 'H4') so more manufacturers will be inclined to offer mods to it. Just a thought.

Yes, you are correct in your statement. That's why I quoted "replacement" because it's not a literal replacement. ;)

This segment is suppose to be covered by GM's Lambda platform crossover SUV while the Hummer H4 will be the replacement (development wise) for the TrailBlazer/Envoy.

So, what you end up having is a crossover SUV, the H3, and the H4. GM won't need the TrailBlazer/Envoy anymore since the segments are all covered.

Obviously I'm just guessing here... since I don't have any facts. :D
