I've been reading the threads on this site for a while, but waited until today to post. Trailblazer SS #4 is in my driveway. TBSS#7 was at the same dealership and has also been purchased. I don't have a digital camera right now, but will answer any questions. Overall, it looks good, sounds good, and drives good. Mine is also a black AWD with leather, Navigation, sunroof, etc. TBSS#7 was identical to mine.

Unfortunately, the piece of the rear bumber that goes around the hitch and exhaust wasn't attached when it was shipped and the bracket that holds it on wasn't there.:duh: The dealer had to order it, so I have to take it back on Monday to be attached.

For the price you paid for all that, the navi and such, they should have given you a free digicam so you can show the world!

The best of luck with her!

Inquiring minds want to know... how do you know it was # 4 and # 7? Not questioning that they are not, I just want to know so that I can find my number when I finally get mine (from the first week's build) next week.

Thanks!

When they first came off of the truck and still had all the plastic and tags on them, they had signs taped inside the windshield. One said "Trailblazer SS #4" and one said "Trailblazer SS #7." But I could be mistaken.

GTPprix
10-28-2005, 01:32 PM
Thats not the build # thats the marshalling yard line #. They had them lined up in 10 lines the first week, that dealer got two that were at the heads of thier respective lines (they put those tags in the windshield so the truck driver knows which line to pick the trucks out of).

Regardless if you got one of those it's within the first 50 or so built.

Maybe, they were built in between regular TB's and other vehicles as well so you could probably get close.

Hi, I'm the new guy on the block. got a call yesterday from a very good friend that owns a Chevy dealer in Wisconsin. The purpose of his call was to tell me that he has a black loaded SS coming in in three weeks and said I should buy it. He offered to get me out of my '05 and into the SS for only $55 more a month. How could I pss it up. It's going to be a long three week

Hey GTPprix I see that you love in Midland, I went to Northwood. Midland is a great town. Also if possible could post more interior pics? Thanks in advance.

How many miles did you put on your 05?

I got it this past April and it has just under 6600 on it. With GMS and nothing down only first month payment due at signing the SS is $431 a month, not bad for a $42k truck.

Are you doing lease or buy? Will the dealer do GMS on the TB SS? :undecided

Chotton

That is a lease, 36 months 12k a year. I'm personal friends with the dealer, but I think he would do GMS on all TB SS's.

I just talked to my friend and he said that he would honor GMS on a SS for anyone that is elegible for it. He said give his sales manager Adam Fitzpatrick a call and mention that Cale sent ya. Adam can be reach at Ballweg Chevrolet in Black Earth Wisconson, his number is 608-767-3851.

Yeah the part that sucks is most of the incentives go away this coming Tuesday and even if they stay rumor has it the SS goes on exclusion :(

Wow, awesome...
Yeah I got less then 5,200... but I don't think I will be able to afford the monthly payments AND the increase in gas guzzling

still a thought though... :undecided

I dont see any changes in the incentives except maybe get a little better since we are coming into the slowest sales time of the year.

As for GMS pricing it's going to stay for a few reasons. First, it would have been restricted from the start, SS is a package and I can't remember a certain package being on a vehicle being restricted, and lastly GM will take every sale it can at this time. I dont think the SS is significant enough to render it ineligble for GMS. The only vehicle lauch I can think of recent history is the XLR and Corvette, and both of those were very temporary.

Well a few zone reps have been talking about some rebate cuts for the Trailblazer and cap cost reduction cuts thats what I was referring to. If it gets better next week I'll have the paperwork redone but according to a few people they are going to be switching some programs out so we'll see. I'm sure GMS obviously will be unaffected, I meant exclusion as far as rebates go thats all.

My bad I misunderstood your post. That's the hard part about buying cars these days, deciding when it's best to pull the trigger on the purchase. We will see what happens on late Monday or early Tuesday.

Ordered mine yesteday!! Black with all options, less Nav. & auto wipers (I know where I am, and can turn on my own wipers... ;) ) Should look just like yours GTPprix.

I've got a couple of questions:

- My dealer told me I could get the rear DVD player and sun roof together, is this true?

- How's the all wheel drive work, can you select the mode you want? I run my Z-71 Tahoe in 2 wheel most of the time.

You can not get from the factory both the DVD and sunroof, your dealer maybe able to install one aftermarket.

The AWD TBSS is always in "four wheeldrive"

AWD is all the time. There's no "modes" or switches.

I do seem to recall seeing something in one of the manuals about a DVD player with the roof, I'll see if I can find out WTF it meant lol

The 2006 TB brochure states that a sunroof and rear dvd together is a new option for 06.

I have a rear DVD system in my present vehicle and it is a waste. The screen is small and difficult to see from either side of the back seat. The only person who really gets a good view is the center passenger in the back seat. Next time I will get aftermarket with screens in the headrests..

That's what my dealer told me... I know in my wife's Denali, it was one or the other.

Personally, I dont think having AWD as a switch isnt bad at all. I like not having to touch anything to engage the front axle, and now it will be always driving the wheels. Besides, there wont be a lot of rear squat when you jump on the gas like the 2WD versions will have.:D
