A "new" Trailblazer is slated for the '07 model, right? So does this mean the TB SS will not appear in the '07 lineup? Or will it?
Any thoughts?

I hope that the redesign is just as popular...
I also hope that GM realizes that the SS lineup is strong and needed.
I think that we can see an SS model as the have done it with the new Impala already!

Excellent question. Since the full size SUV's are coming out as '07's will we also see the TB Envoys as '07's? I would hate to see the TB SS only run one year, but if it does, the value should hold good.

Yeah, GM did come out with the SS on the new Impala from the start. But on other cars the high performance model seems to lag a year or two behind. For example, Cobalt and Cobalt SS, Malibu and Malibu SS, Corvette and Corvette Z06, Silverado and Silverado SS...
I know the TB SS has been on the drawing board for a couple of years. That would have been before all this hype over gas prices and everyone wanting hybrid stuff. In the same way that people are questioning the new Tahoe/Yukon model b/c of their "timing to market", I wonder if GM will see the TB SS as bad timing?
Just throwing out thoughts here... I know the '94-96 Impala SS was canceled so GM could build more trucks. Now the big thing is crossovers and hybrids... Will the TB SS, and other SS types for that matter, be canceled so GM can invest more time/money in crossovers and hybrids?

I'd say its a tough call. With a complete redesign on the schedule, my gut says the SS could be a one year run. However, how many times has there been truly a one year run on any particular GM model? It would seem that GM would NOT spend the kind of jack it took to bring the SS to market only to plan on selling it for one year. I think it will all depend on just how well the TBSS sells this year, but with the availability of the SS package on a base model TB, I think GM shouldn't have a hard time selling a bunch of these things. The key was keeping the price down, and they have suceeded with that!

I don't know, I like the refreshed Malibu Maxx, I'd consider one if I was in the market. I like vehicles with flexibility, thats why you won't see me in a Miata or Solstice, unless I have a lot of money to blow away... hehe...;)

SS or not, I don't like how the new Impala looks like a bloated Malibu. :m2:
