yep. My jet ski's are a big part of my life in the summertime as well. Travel all over the place trying different lakes. Not gonna happen with the SRT.

How so? The Jeep SRT8 can tow up to 3,500 lbs. Your jet ski's don't weigh anywhere near that much unless you have them filled with cement. There are a lot of SRT8 owners out there towing all sorts of things. For the small percentage of SUV owners who actually tow anything, 3500 lbs covers what the majority of them would tow.

i saw a gc srt8 towing a boat. its possible, but the class3 hitch looks God-aweful
you could probably tow a jet ski with a class2 hitch, those don't look bad on the gc, they're pretty much hidden

They don't come with a hitch. IT's hard to tow something when it is not there. Are you supposed to duck tape the ball on the bumper or something? lol

I love jet ski's, but don't have any of my own. Down the line I'd like to get some. As far as the rack though, any for the regular GC will fit the GC SRT8s. I think it looks like poop, but you can do it if you want to.

Well the TBSS has options that don't come with the vehicle too, would you use duct tape to install those? I'm one of the SRT owners who does NOT tow anything, so I am GLAD that I was able to buy it without the trailer hitch option. The SRT was designed for performance, not for towing or off-road, and on that note it delivers and delivers well. The 3500 lb. rating covers what MOST owners would want or need to tow.

Can you find a pic of the aftermarket hitch and show, or link, it here?
Thanks!

I think the SRT is primarily a toy, while the SS is more all-around.(but still a toy)

first off, guys, we can do without flames about each other's cars. lets make believe we're mature adults here.

if you scroll down a little you can see the class2 hitch that is fairly well hidden and can easily handle bike racks and jetskis
The class3 hitch that doesn't involve moving the center exhaust looks pretty aweful though. I assume this is the "mopar" hitch that is refered to.

That's not bad looking. I take back this entire post. I'm not sure if that hitch would work though. It's so far back in I don't knwo if you would be able to get a tongue on a trailer to stick out far enough. Anyways, it doesn't look bad . you really can't even see it. I may have to trade up for an SRT8 now! lol

Actually, the factory Mopar hitch has not been released yet. They have been promising it for the past year, supposedly it is in its final stages of testing. Something about issues trying to route the wiring away from the exhaust.

Me too, the class 2 hitch is mounted really well, nice and stealth. You would never notice it unless you were using it or someone got down and looked really closely for it.
I wish the TBs could get a painted hitch cover like the new fullsize SUVs get that makes the rear bumper completely smooth. Really like that look.

Thats what Ive heard, Mopar has been supposedly waiting forever to release it, so most guys have mounted a regular GC hitch to their SRT-8 with some modding.
