yeah the srt might come with brembo's big deal our brakes stop just as good, only reason the jeep has those is that they could not make a good brake setup... so they went to brembo as alot of car company's today do

I highly agree, they took the easy way out, juss for higher popularity. We got corvette based brakes anyway:woot:

Hey allblkss, thats a sick brake setup, but if i had that much money to putdown on them i'd be puttin some headers, cams, pully's, intake, lol. i just need somethin simple, ive seen those caliper covers, which are nice, but not really what im lookin for. If adm can sell thse calipers seperate... awsome, its just too much $ for all that

Your stock look and comparing the look to Brembo's just confused me. Your not gonna get that Brembo look with covers.

Painting them and maybe adding SS decals?

just buy some good caliper paint and paint them. prep them good put a few layers of whatever color you want, then goet some SS stickers for them and call it a day!!! much much much cheaper then geting new calipers of brake setup!!! just my:m2: or your $$$$.$$

Once it stays warm enough out I want to paint my calipers, anyone have a recommendation on a specific brand paint to buy?

My buddy thats a GM service tech said he is 99% certain that C6 vette (non zo6) calipers would bolt right up. He wasn't certain but he said they look exactly the same. Bad thing is they are not cast iron. They are aluminum or magnesium which might flex under high loads with these lead sleds we drive.

If I am not mistaken, the Calipers on the SS are aluminum.

Mine are cast iron. Atleast when I had them off they felt heavy enough to be.

You are 100% correct. A lot of people don't know that jeep cherokee's have always been know for having some of the worst brakes ever. Eat rotors ever 5-10K miles etc... Had to call in Brembo to do the job for them.

So true, I had an 02 Grand Cherokee and at 60K I went through 4 sets of rotors (warped) and finally went aftermarket.

Man, and I thought I was the only one with a bad Jeep and brakes experience. My family had a 89 Grand Cherokee and in the 7 years we owned it we went through 3 or 4 sets of brakes. First year of ABS being in them, so not exactly the best time to buy.

While surfin' EBay I came across some caliper covers from the UK. They look pretty good and look like they'd cover the whole TB caliper. Any Thoughts?
EBay ID number is 230135987836
