Does anyone know of any good, dual exhaust options for an 05 tb ext v8?

Does any know if there is a good dual exhaust as well...I've put in airaid and am impressed by the performance. Now I'm thinking about the exhaust. What sort of improvement do you see? I don't want loud.....Just for good looks and more power!!!:)

There are no exhausts for any EXTs, to get one it must be custom from a local shop. Also, since only the Ranier and the Saab and the Denali had the V8 in the SWB until this year, I dont think any of the exhausts fit the 5.3L V8.

I know duals for the 4.2L EXT have to be custom. I'm pretty sure the 5.3L would have to be also. I don't think enough people own GMT 370s for the aftermarket exhaust companies to consider developing anything. :m2:

Andrew (OurZoo) has custom dual exhaust on his Envoy with the 5.3L.

Just ask around your area who is recommended. I went to a guy that does a lot of GMs and Fords. Cut the pipe after the cat and ran a Y, sort of. The left tube flows around the shielding of the spare. Both come out the sides at an angle which is exactly what I wanted. I picked out the muffler and went with some nice chrome Sebring tips. The sound is nice and throaty. You can feel the difference, but I'm guessing a system built exactly for our trucks would probably give you even better performance. Depending on where you live, some of the dealerships are stepping up to the plate and offering to do custom work. This would even be warrantied as the dealer did the install.

I got somthing like this planned when the stock exhaust system inevitably starts to quiet down/plug up in a year or so (I wanna keep/increase that throaty V8 sound)

I guess I'll just find a nice tip... But I don't want anything that sticks out...Living in the city, it sure will be hit and bent...

What performance gain will there be being dual exhaust?

Look at the pics of my exhaust. They barely stick out on each side. Only way one of them will get bent is if someone hits 'em on purpose. Then I'll be going to jail after I kill that person. As far as performance, I would imagine a true dual would really breathe and be fast. I didn't want to void the warranty so I didn't do a true dual. Coupled with the Airaid you just put in, you should be happy if you do something similar to what I did.
