Any possibility of getting the picture scaling turned back on? Those of us poor folks still on dial up run in to some jpgs that get posted which are huge, can take a very long time to load, especially when someone posts several pics at the same time. I usually just bail out if I see several large hi-res jpgs starting to download. THANKS

100% of all donations and sticker sales that were made using the old donation system went toward the Red Cross and Katrina Fund. (http://forums.trailvoy.com/showpost.php?p=22717&postcount=14) Thank you all for supporting the Red Cross.

After the site upgrade, everyone's "little sign" was wiped out and so was the donation mod for the forum. I chose not to re-install the old donations mod and decided to use the built-in features of vBulletin to administer donations. This avoids modding the source code of the forum and makes is easier and quicker to perform future upgrades.

All donations using the new system are for TrailVoy.com. Anyone that is wearing the new "supporting member" tag has made a donation using the new system.

Before the upgrade of the forum, I was using an image re-sizer mod that required hacking the vBulletin source code. This mod slowed the forum down considerably as more and more over sized image were posted.

vBulletin has a new product and plug-in system that will allow adding in custom mods without changing the source code. If I can find a similar mod that uses the plug-in system and doesn't add too may additional queries to the database then I'll get it installed.

If it gets out of hand with members posting huge images that blows out the side of the forum, I may have to disable the IMG tag all together. Hopefully it doesn't come to that and I can combat the issue with a mod.

Thanks,

I hope not! A picture is worth a thousand words as they say, and I like pictures! Maybe a strongly suggested size of 640X480 and if it exceeds it may get edited?

The preferred size of an image is 800x600, this way it doesn't blow out the side of the forum and it's not too big for the dial-up members.

If you follow the donate link on the navigation above, you'll have the option to donate to the site by any of a number of different ways. Then you get that nifty little "TrailVoy Supporter" badge. Check it out here: http://forums.trailvoy.com/payments.php

He is referring the the donation & calendar combo. The donation tag that you had before was for the Katrina fund which ended the last day in September.
