How are the rotors holding up as far as brake pedal pulsation. I know a lot of the other product out there seems to end up with pulsating brakes after so many miles. My wife's Impala SS had crazy brake pulsation at just 9,000 miles! Wondering if the Trailblazer SS brakes are better.
I'm "trying" to be easy on them.... LOL!

I don't have an SS, but can tell you that usually the OEM rotors are the best inexpensive rotors you can put on the vehicles. Parts store rotors aren't any better at dispersing heat, so you will run into the same thickness variation problem. I wouldn't worry about it until you start to feel the pulsation, at which time I'd consider a High Performance rotor upgrade (slotted/cross drilled)
FYI, GM warranties the brakes/rotors for 1 year/12K; so if they start to pulsate before you get there, the dealer will fix the concern

I have 23,000 miles on my TBSS and havent felt a thing yet...best brakes I have ever had and in my opinion the best GM has ever made (besides the Vette im sure) !

I'm a fanatic when it comes to rotor issues (I suffered through the GMX130 platform brake issues for 2 years), and these brakes on the TBSS are good.
I can knock a lot of things, but not the brakes. I'd buy stock replacement rotors, and most likely pads, even though they are dusty, they work well.

I got around 16k on my ss and the rotors are perfect!
On the other hand my 04 GTO was on its second set of rotors by now!

Mine are great too. I've only heard of one guy having to get his rotors replaced on a TBSS :D

If you have a TBSS you can buy cooling air ducts from gm that will cool the rotors through the outside holes in the front bumper cover.

One Problem is if you have ever taking the rim off and reinstalled it YOU HAVE TO TORQUE the wheel!!!!!!!
I had the same problem many times. once i started to TORQUUE the wheels every time i removed them i never had the problem again... All that pulsating is that the rotor is WARPED. I have used the cheapest rotor and never had a problem as long as you TORQUE them.

Agreed! Don't forget the star pattern ;)

when i have to replace either the rotors or the pads i'll go back with factory replacements. i wish the pads weren't quite so dusty, but they do well at what they do. i'll deal with a dusty rim in trade for having confidence in my brakes
has anyone replaced the pads on their SS yet? i'm kind of curious as to how much the pads were.
