OK.. I did a search but I didn't see anyone with the same problem...
This is the second time this has happened....
About a week ago I was driving on the highway (about 60mph) when the engine just turned off….I pulled over and restarted the car…
It started with no problem but seemed like there was no gas getting to the engine and keep stalling (I did have ¼ of a tank left)….did it a couple of time. The next day I got gas and drove it for a week….with no problem.
Today it did the same S#@T.... Left the car for about 4 hour (I was on my way to the Miami Dolphins games:D )
Came back with gas and drove it home….

The only coincident is that both times I had ¼ tank and the AC running…
I did drop one of those Injector/Engine cleaners a tank ago.
I had no “check engine light” come on at any point….

About a month ago I had the “check engine light” come on and it had to do with the o2 sensor.
I never replaced it since it turned off be it self …..

Edit:
02 TB with 55K on it....if that helps

If adding fuel seemed to fix, maybe the pickup has come loose from the fuel pump. If that happened it wouldn't be able to use the last few gallons of fuel. That happened to a Bonnevile I had. On the Bonneville I could make it die once it got down to a quarter tank just by going downhill or stopping, the fuel would slosh to the front of the tank and engine would die.
All was better once they replaced the fuel pickup; didn't even have to replace entire fuel pump.

Good luck

i had this problem twice...both times it was when i was reversing...as soon as i put it in drive the engine stalled. It started back up no problem though. Took it to the dealer and they said they couldn't find any problems as usual.

if it always seems to happen when you are at a 1/4 tank, then I would think that the fuel level sensor is reading incorrectly and showing more fuel than you really have.

Next week I'm pickup warranty from one of those website...anyone has experience with any particular company?

What hurts the most...anyone could pick up the fuel pump from ebay for about $120.00 shippied

I have a 2003 Tahoe that had the same thing happen. When we added gas, everything was fine until one day it was low and would not crank at all at my house. The fuel pump was the culprit and was replaced. I was told the fuel pumps have been a problem on the Tahoes and it makes me wonder if the TBs have the same one.

A good company is Intercontinental, another is US Warranty, and a really good one is JM&A also called ADW (Associated Dealers Warranty). I think the best bang for your buck is going to be Intercontinental. I would stay away from the ones you get in the mail, and I have not heard of anyone having much luck getting one off the internet. Just be sure to get the platinum coverage, that way all of your concerns should be covered. A lot of the cheaper ones do not cover electrical problems, seals and gaskets. You know, the stuff that goes bad...
