Now now, there's more to Nevada than Las Vegas! (Though some people don't believe me.)
I'm up in Gardnerville...just south of Carson City, just over the hill from Lake Tahoe, etc etc...

I’m from Vegas, off Charleston and Durango. I found some good beginner off roading near warm springs and Fort Apache. You actually go up those mountains tons and tons of cool stuff. Old abandon silver mines go what seems endlessly into the mountain. I’ve made it probably 100 yards in before I chickened out but if you go with a group it could be real fun. From the top it has a really beautiful view of the city at night. Also some good trails out by lake Mojave that you can rally on, again tons of fun. I’m working in LA for the next couple months but it would be really neat if we could meet up at Timbers or Roadrunner for breakfast and go tear it up.

I'll add you to my buddy list and catch up with you next time I’m in town. I'll be down for Memorial Day but I'll be driving the BMW. So do you do outdoor stuff? When I first got to Vegas all I did was the club thing but last year I mixed it up a little. Dude there is so much outdoor stuff to do you wouldn’t believe it. For work I'll just say I do power plant stuff.... I used to work at one of the plants off Apex near the NASCAR track in Vegas but now I work for myself. How about you?

Well there is to much to mention but I spent the majority of last summer at lake Mojave. Tons of fish, good size striper during the day and cat fish at night. Cliff jumping swimming hiking all kinds of stuff. There are also some dry lake beds out there that are a blast to drive around on.

my friend doesn't have a TV. and, I'll be in town being the best man in his wedding. that's why Saturday might be tough, plus, that Saturday night, there is tenatively a UFC event planned. if it happens, I'm there!
Most of where I go is out by aliante or right off Losee near 215, a couple of my friends and I go out there. My friend's got a lifted Blazer K55 so I usually defer to him when we do the offroad thing, the trailblazer definitely wasn't designed for offroading stock. I've only been in town since August, but I get out a lot.
I'll also be the first to agree there's a lot to nevada that isn't las vegas. However as the economic engine of the state, las vegas gets 99% of the attention.

400 miles north, up 95...
Roughly 7 horus, give or take depending on how fast you drive.
Seeing how many NV TV'ers there are in Vegas, looks like I'd be the one driving to a Nevada meet:ugh:

That would definitely make my trip easier! Though Vegas could be fun...haven't been in a few years.
I think, last trip I made, Tonopah had a McDonalds, a grocery store, and a Tesoro. And a stretch of highway. Find a meeting place?
(And again, I don't have too big a problem heading down to Vegas. Maybe we could get the SoCal guys to come out too...not that bad of a drive.)

Yeah for sure I will if I see you, and if you see me I have a midnight blue TB LS with no roofrack so honk if you see me. I've been working at the Hosp. for like 6 months or so.
I see a lot of TB's in Vegas but there seems like to me that there isn't a lot on trailvoy.

Hey guys,
Introducing myself...
My gilfriend Danielle drives the TBSS. If you see a silver TBSS with the plate "FAST RN" speeding around LV, that's her :)
I drive a 2006 Orange GTO with the plate "AHHYEAH".
Anyways, anyone taken their TBSS for warranty work here? I need a dealer that can fix some common issues (tailgate seal, headliner drooping, foglights shake) and not waste my time (do it right first time).
I'm all for meeting up anywhere. In-n-Out off Sahara/15 is one of the more popular placecs for car meets. The drag strip is also a fun place to hang out and get some passes. We've taken the TBSS once, and the best Danielle could get was a 14.8 at 95 with a 2.4 60' (what was killing her). Doesn't sound fast, but it's not bad for Vegas. About what most of the stock 2005 Mustangs and 350zs are running. Not bad for a 4800lb SUV!
Lets get a meet setup!

lol, that's right I forgot about midnight mayhem. That would be funny, considering I was joking with one of the guys at work about that very thing. He wants me to lift my truck and go yahooing in the desert, I told him I was gonna slam it and put hoosier racing slicks on it! We could all roll in there together, I'll put a baby seat in the back and everything. People will think we're an elite drag racing team like John Force or something. :hahano: :hahano:

Yeah, MM is fun to watch but sucks to race......too may fwd ricers putting water everywhere, no track prep, and 400 cars.
I usually take the GTO on Wednesday night Street Wars. Was just there last night, had a blast!
I've only seen one other TBSS out there (a black one), so it would be fun to be the minority!

he tried to say its cause mine had close to 36,000 miles on it and i told him so these engines dont last up to 36,000 miles..then replace it.
he kinda looked at me wierd and i said you see how that didnt make sense..lol
