Hey guys,
I have a 2006 TBSS and my buddy just bought a 05 or 06 GMC Envoy with the 5.3 motor. He took me for a ride last night, and I'll have to say that it felt pretty quick for what motor was in it...
Question is this. What quarter mile times will one of these do stock, and what type of numbers are they putting on the dyno?? He wants to start modding his also. What are some of the better mods for this motor??? How much hp/tq increase will a tune give him on the dyno. Sorry for all the questions but he wanted me to ask here on the forum. I only know the info for the 6.0 LS2 motor. Thanks alot..

I would figure, a CAI and a PCM Tune would be the best place to start, check out the PCM4LESS they are really good and our the top choice for trailvoyers

I have the Vector tune on mine, along with the CAI and HSRK. If you look under the Vector link to their web site and you can find the before and after dyno runs on my 5.3L with their products. Very good increases.

Yup 40+ to the tires on our mustang dyno with our CAI/Tune and 93 octane fuel :)

I've got the 5.3 and I've driven a couple TBSS's and they did feel faster than mine but not nearly as much as I thought they would.

:dielaugh: :dielaugh: Don't hold your breath!! I really hope I see some improvements after I put my e-fans on but I'm not expecting anything huge. Just getting rid of the roaring fan when cold will be worth it! :suicide:

Should pick up around 10rwhp and 1mpg. Nothing huge but definately noticeable!

It's just something with the factory programming. It's engaged for the first few minutes when cold.

I hope so!! I hope to get mine done soon (when I have time and the TB can be down while the PCM is sent to you).
