I was thinking of trading it but not for the number they gave me... HAHA and also Its too new its not on KBB.com yet....Im going to sell it private.
Love the truck and power but its too small I went from a H2 to the SS and it was too big of a jump in size.

You should update your profile and location. Someone on here might jump on it.

To small lol.I'm looking to get a 06/07 STi again.I had a 04 but someone totaled it.Can you PM me what you were offered for trade?
KBB.com updated the site so you can look up 07 TBSS's now.
You can probably also see what a new one would cost on Edmunds and then subtract around $5k or more from that price.

i have cars appraised everyday and from experience take off about 1 - 1.5k off "good" kbb condition for an outright sale. if you trade in on another car, they may give you more, but theyll fu** ya somewhere else, trust me.....
you MAY get 31 if your lucky...

My 06 TBSS sticker was 40+...AWD...Nav...ect.
1 1/2 later and it loses 15K...I only have 10700 miles on it.
Glad I took the gap insurance...I owe 34K still...9K in the hole

ya thats how I am too.. Luckily I got the gap insurance too.. sometimes I wish it would get stolen, then I could buy a brand new one for less than I owe on mine. of course I would never purposely have it stolen, but if it ever happened, i wouldn't be too upset.

Try going under edmunds.com & follow the link to see what your rides worth.
At one point I went to trade in my 03 TB EXT for an SS. After what they offered me for mine.....I would have needed 2 of mine + to get a new SS!
Sad....it listed for $43,525 when I bought it new & now I would have to kiss someones azz to get $17 at the dealership.

Come on guys, this is a Chevy, if you paid sticker you paid too much!:duh:
Sticker prices on domestic cars are useless because they are always running rebates and special deals.
You should start with your vehicles invoice price and start deducting your $4-$6k from there.

I understand what your saying.
Ya i bought the TBSS for 36+K but after taxes and some money I rolled into it,gap ins and misc charges....came out close to sticker with no money down.
The problem is the green book as I call it,they use to determine trade-in value:weird: ,seems to go by around the lowest or invoice price you should have paid and then deducts depreciation. Not what msrp or sticker price was which you are made to believe the value of the truck is.This is why if you don't go into it with a nice chunk down you can't get out of it with out rolling over big money.Even if i paid the taxes and misc charges i would still be in the hole for at least 5K.
Just to comment on kelly blue book.IMO just a big ploy by the car companies to get you excite about a new car. They make you think your trades worth 2 to 3K more and start you looking. Then you get screwed because you impulse buy the object of your affection...The New Car or Truck of your dreams...once your at the dealer and they sweet talk you into it.

There's an '07 program 3SS AWD with everything near me with 2K on the clock that has been sitting on the lot at a Chevy dealer. Asking price is 34995. I figure someone could walk away with that thing for about 30 or 31K.
As far as value is concerned, I'm in this thing for the longer run. I took the 0% so it will be about 3-4 years for things to even out versus taking the rebate so I'm keeping the thing for at least that long. By then it should be worth about half what it was new at this rate. But in my experience, the values of niche cars/trucks like the SS usually level off at some point after about 3 or 4 years. New SS's are getting harder to find, at least around here.
Seems to be a lot of people trying to get rid of their SS. Why? Gas mileage? Reliability problems?
You'll lose money 95% of the time if you sell a car back within 3 years. It just isn't worth it in most cases. The other 5% is speciality cars like a Z06 or something. I just saw an 03 TB EXT in my area for $12k and it was at a dealer. It was the LT package so they had a sticker around $34k. Of course the original owner probably bought it for around $30k if he was somewhat smart. 4 years and a little over 50% of the value is pretty good. The only time I will get rid of a new car is if I have a medical problem and it hurts more to drive it or another live changing event.

One thing hurting the resale of the SS is that it has a $4000 rebate right now, not including any markdown the dealer does off list, that rebate is on top of any dealing. Of course the resale on standard TB's has been horrible for the last few years, I've seen low mile '04 4x4 LTs on dealer lots for 16-18k.
With gas prices predicted to reach near $4 a gallon this summer, you can expect to take a BIG hit in TBSS resale prices. Glad I don't put a lot of miles on mine...wouldn't be able to afford it!
