TB SS

Greetings all.. Paul in the Los Angeles area here. If you had asked me this morning what I would be doing tonight, I'd never in a million years have guessed it would be typing a message like this one. This is my first post (of I hope many) to this site. Here's the reader's digest version of my day:
Had the day off with the wife. Decided to take a nice afternoon drive with lunch. After lunch, without my wife knowing where we were going, we drove to our local GM outlet to LOOK at the new 06 Trailblazers to replace her 1996 4wd Blazer. I didn't intend on buying anything today. After my wife's initial shock wore off, she proceeded to look at the LSs and LTs on the lot, and soon had a nice dark charcole LT picked out. I told the saleswoman that we were not prepared to buy today.. just looking, but wanted a write-up on the costs. Mind you.. until that moment, I had only heard small snippets about the TB SS... so I casually asked if they had seen any in yet. She indicated that they had received their first the prior day.. and that the General Manager had it. We strolled over to his parking spot and my jaw dropped. O.M.G.
I had to force myself away from the SS to concentrate on the LT since I knew I wasn't going to get the SS just for the wife. That would just kill me! :D Anyway... when it came down to the inevitable "What would it take to get your business today?" question.. the only thought on my mind was the value of her 1996 TB trade-in. The manager then came over and said he saw me looking at the SS.. and said.. "What about the SS? If I can get you a good price on that would you consider that one?" I responded "Brother, if you can get me a good enough price, we'll be driving the LT and SS home tonight!" With that, his eyebrows raised.
I agreed not to devuldge the details of the deal (yes, it was that good!)... but let's just say.. I stole it! :D I would have been a fool to walk away from the price they offered.. On top of that, was pleasantly surprised to find out about the $2500 TB rebates which made the deal on both TBs that much sweeter.
My TB SS is a Black beauty AWD LT version with the NAV package. The wife's is a dark charcole LT with just about every option. I'll be taking a boat load of images of the SS later today, then I'll upload them on my server for all you guys to see. If you want specific shots.. just let me know. I'll also upload a copy of the window sticker for reference. I'm the owner of MonteCarloSS.com, so I have unlimited disk space to play with. I'll dedicate a directory just for the images.
Anyway.. I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions to ask. I can entertain any questions you guys have. I don't have much seat time yet, so I'm still forumulating my thoughts on the ride / power.
The only question I have at the moment is about the production figures for the SS. Does anyone know if GM is limiting the production of the TB SS to a specific number?
