I have Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor 265/70-17 on stock polished rims. 31.5" diameter with 1.5" spacers.

Want to have 33-34" something like Nitto Dune Grapplers on Mickey Thompson Classic Lock rims. :drool

I saw the dune grapplers but not sure about the traction I mean just from the looks of the tire look like just a cool looking tire and not much of an all terrain....

I want the Dune Grapplers so bad...they're just so freakin expensive. I may save some money, and go with the Terra Grappler, which I can get off Tires.com for 120 a piece, compared to 200 each for the dune grapplers. I was going to go with chrome rims, but we'll see...that's also another 60 bucks a rim, and I'm afraid it will look too "blingy", which is totally not the look I want.

Ideally, I want these tires:

On these rims, which I can get in our bolt pattern, with a -6 offset:

That link is for 6X5.5" lug pattern. I don't see that Discount Tire carries MB rims in our bolt pattern in any styles other than Razor and Gunner 6: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findWheelsBySize.do?wd=17&bp=6-127*6-5&rw=
Did you call 'em? Or are they listed on the MB web site (which I didn't check.)

can i run the 285/70 r17 with 1.5 space and stock wheels without a lift... i need new tires and i want to go ahead and get the tires i want now and then get the lift and rims later when money is saved...but my tires now are in need of a change so dont want to waste money on other tires if i plan on changing to the 285 anyways.... or is there another tire size that would work better....

:m2: :m2:
That size calculates to 32.71 (rounded)
So you figure thats a 33" tire. A lot of members here only run that becuase they have A) Suspension lift or B) Body/Suspension lift

You would most likely have a LOOOTT of Steel and wheel well cutting to do without a BDS lift..

Just my feedback

They don't list them, but they can get them. I called, and it will take a couple weeks to get them in. They do have have the MB predators in our bolt pattern, but only in certain sizes, with certain offsets.

i run 1.5" spacer the 16x8 MB Gunner 6's (not crome) with 265/75/16 Procomp AT's (31.9" OD). only very slight rubbing when the tires were new. tires have held up very well, approx 28k on them now and they still look great. pics in my gallery.

No lift? Is that possible? Any other mods to suspension?

sorry, didnt list it because it's in my profile. i have Smaxx spacers (1.25" F+R) and HD Bilstien shocks all the way around, along with a hotchkiss swaybar. should be moving up to the BDS as soon as my schedule allows me some time for install.

on a side note i really need to get the G80 as well.... been lucky so far....

I know it's a little off topic here, but how do you like that hotchkis sway bar kit? And, what all did yours come with? I've heard that some come with end links, and some don't...but IIRC, they all come with front and rear poly bushings...right? That's one of the next things I want to do to mine, after the wheels and tires I mentioned earlier.

i put the sway bar and the shocks in at the same time. DRAMATIC change in handling over stock, you should deffinitly get one. and no the bar does not come with end links, but you get the bushings for the front as well. might want to think about doing this before the wheels and tires. it actually made me happy to drive the truck after the shocks and the bar, no more body roll gotta love it.

265/70R17 Firestone Destination A/T with 1.25" SMaxx spacers and 1" front / 1.5" rear wheel spacers (on blacked out stock LT wheels).

do you think those tires will fit without the 1 in wheel spacer in the front or do you need it.

No, unfortunately you do need the wheel spacers. That upper control arm is a PIA. :(
