I'm sure you can buy an adapter with the connections you need. If not then find a trailer wiring kit and rob the connectors and splice them in.

Hey Abu, if I read u right, u need to go from a 7 pin to a 4 pin. Keep in mind, that there are trailers that have 7 pins and sometimes these trailers must connect to a truck that has 4 pins. Therefore a 4 to 7 pin adaptor. There is an adaptor for the truck, and an adaptor for a trailer. Take yours back and tell them u need the other adaptor.

You just need the right adapter, like the others are saying. Its a 7-pin to a 4-pin. I have one if you want me to take a pic so you can see what it looks like.:cool:

#1 All newer GM trucks come with the round 7-prong connectors
#2 Make the install clean and don't use the plug (looks ghetto). Go behind the bumper and wire directly into the harness that feeds the 7-prong plug. Much cleaner plus you don't lose the use of your hitch plug. :yes:

:yes: That's what I did also. If you plug it in it's not going to look so clean.

No pics but I'll try to explain.
If you look behind your bumper you will see a bundle of wires that feed into the back of the trailer 7-prong plug. You can unplug that harness from the backside of the plug. What I did was buy a replacement 4-wire connector (vehicle side that plugs into the LED bar) cut off the excess wiring (left about 10" or so). I then spliced the 4 wires into the proper wires within that harness. I heat shrinked all the connections and then re-wrapped the harness. Then you can plug the harness back into the backside of the 7-prong plug. Now what you have is a pigtail coming off the main harness with a flat-4 connector that you can simply plug your LED bar into. I then bundled the excess wire and zip tied it up inside the frame rail.
If you do this you can always easily unplug the bar if you need to later on and you won't have a ugly adapter sticking out under your bumper with the bar wiring plugged into it. :cool:

HUH?? :confused::confused:
That's the whole point of wiring it like I said. If you don't wire it, you have to disconnect the LED bar when you tow a trailer!! IF you wire it like I suggested then your plug under the bumper isn't used for the LED bar and when you do use it, the LED bar still works!

Now you see that plug in the top pics? Just go into the wires behind it to splice on the pigtail lead and you'll be set.
Now with the adapter plugged in you understand what I'm saying about how it will look! :yes: Now imagine the LED bar plugged into that yet.
