Well I had a little time today to make a few quick 0-60 runs with my Beltronics Accelerometer. This is the same unit I use to test for the magazines I work for and has proven itself dead on with two local drag strips. The SS with one passenger and the traction control posted a 0-60 of 5.3 seconds with an off idle launch, it appears that a loaded launch up to about 2300 RPM actually slowed the truck down a bit. I'll try some other methods with the TC off as well in the spring, the best part is the truck runs consistent 2.0 60 ft's and I believe they will get significantly better with some ECM/TCM tweaking later this week hopefully :)

Were you able to make any 1/8 or 1/4 mile passes?

5.3! Isn't that about 0.4 faster than what GM claims? And yours is an AWD model right? Or 2WD? :undecided
Either way, AWESOME!

Yea, I would love to hear those times too! In any case, thats fast.

Unfortunately I didnt have enough room for a full 1/4 run but I did make one 1/8th pass that had a slower 0-60 of 5.5 and that was an 8.98 at a MPH that I dont remember (I can look it up later.)

Chris, what modifications have you done so far with the 5.30 sec 0-60 time? Just wondering. Also is yours a AWD or 2WD?

Just a K&N drop in, nothing else performance related. This was in 50 degree ambients with a passenger and it's AWD :) Awesome launches hehe

Hey Chris, with the AWD do you get any wheel spin at all on launch? 5.3 is pretty damn strong. I can see you getting it close to 5 flat with tuning and a few more miles. The LSX engines are known for getting stronger as they loosen up a bit (of course I know you baby yours right Chris... :p )

Good run. July '05 Motor Trend estimated the TB SS at 0-60 5.8 sec and 1/4 mi at 14.0 sec and 100 mph. Looks like you are ahead of the estimates.
