My parents are in Greenville right now looking for a new place to live. So that will sort of move my base of operations between Gainesville, FL and Greenville, SC. Good to know there are some TrailVoy members around there.

Wouldn't trade this place for anything.... Close to Atlanta but can't smell it... Close to the mountains... Work at a beautiful lake.... And one of the cheapest places in the country for gas!!

Really? What are you paying at the pump? I heard about the lake... I'm excited to see someplace new (Don't get me wrong, I've been to and seen half of the mainland states) but to really get to know another are would be fun. I'm a little worried that I won't get the same beach-action up there, but Gainesville is about an hour away from St Augustine and I'll have friends and family down here still... Random but I just saw a pretty Z71 Tahoe drive by.. had gold plated emblems looked neat and clean... Anyway, yeah my parents can't stand Florida (Homeowners insurance and tax has been skyrocketing and it's too hectic for their preferences) they have the idea that Greenville will be a good blend of city life and a more calm life. Which leads me to ask, what's exciting up there?

The "downtown" is a small city into itself. It boats a really great nightlife, there are festivals every week... Thursday is Downtown Live, they block off the streets and there are people everywhere... They just finished the Overlook Bridge that is a suspension walking bridge over the reedy river falls. We just got a new baseball stadium and team...

Falls Park (the bridge)

I grew up in Scranton, SC, a small town outside of Florence SC, went to college at Clemson, lived in Greenville for a few years, and I'm now in Charlotte. I still go to at least 2 games a year at Clemson, and I visit friends in Greenville (well greer now), and Salem (we'll see who knows where that is, heh) regularly.

I don't live in Columbia. It's where I call home. I live in Hampton, VA. The last time I was home I saw a black TBSS up near Clemson and Hardscrabble road. There is another guy in West Columbia in the SS registry. I'll let you know the next time I head south in the TBSS. Maybe we can meet up somewhere.

Charleston area is better! lol.

The Charleston area is very nice. I met my wife there 22 years ago. My Mother-in-law still lives in Summerville.
