no please dont get one. i had one on my 97 tahoe and what a waste. the motor was really slow off the line. so i took it off within the same week i bought it. i also found out that it messes up your fuel trim really bad heres what others say about the air flow on the tb. go to www.truckperformance.com and look up mass air flow read what others say. hope this helps you out.

would the 2005-2006 MAF be a direct plug and play option on all the other TB/Voy years???
wouldnt mind that extra egde in throttle response the '05-'06 has

I dont think so...
The 02-05s have the IAT sensor and I dont think the MAF and IAT sensors are interchangeable. I highly doubt you can replace the IAT with the MAF, and if so, you would probably have to get a PCM reclibration with some hybrid 06 and 02 software because you cant run 06 software on an 02 engine, but you need the 06 MAF sensor stuff.
I think it would be a waste to try and persue unless I am making this waaay more difficult than it really is. Just my :m2:
FWIW, the I6 uses the IAT and the V8 uses a MAF. I have not heard much good on using Gran. MS MAF. I would imagine that other upgrades would be necessary such as CAI, exhaust, etc. :m2:
