As seen in the mass PM I sent out:
This is a message I am sending to all members with "Ontario" listed as their location. It is regarding a show that I plan to attend, and hope that several members would attend as well.
Here's what is advertised on the flyer:
"1st Annual Merrickville Truck Show
Saturday July 7th, 2007
At the Merrickville Fairgrounds
8:30 AM until 4:00 PM
All makes and models welcome!
Classic, custom, antique, highway, tractors, special interest and more!
Show trucks $10.00 at gate
Prizes, People's Choice Award!, Entertainment, Refreshments Sponsored Events!
Spectator Donations Accepted"
So basically, it's a show for trucks. They also have a car show, which is the next day. If you're hesitant on going because your truck is stock, don't worry! I'm sure all the trucks that will be in attendance were stock at some point. Who knows, maybe you'll see something you like, and get inspired. I attended last year’s car show, and I will say that the location is wonderful (right by the locks), and that they have great prizes. It'll be a fun day to finally put a person's face to a truck, and see some other TrailVoys in person. Having been to 2 meets previously, meeting someone might not seem like fun, but trust me, it is. You make good friends, and enjoy knowing that other people take pride in the same vehicle as you.
Depending on what end of Ontario you'd be coming from, meeting up somewhere, and driving down together would be something to do.
Anyways, reply to me either way, and look for a thread started in the "North" section, to be used for keeping track of attendees, and for general info.
