Hi beam = 9005
Lo beam = 9006
fogs = 880

in silvania silverstars, those would be 9005XT, 9006XT, 880ST.

I use the 9005XT/9006XT, but have not tried the 880ST's. How do they compare to the stock fogs? Is it worth the switch?

The biggest thing I've noticed is the color temperature now matching with the headlights. Due to the nature of what the fogs are designed for, I really don't think it makes a difference as to how much light is put out. They still only cover the area right in front of the vehicle, where the headlight beam pattern fades. It all depends on the look you like -- matching fogs/HLs, or different (so it looks like you actually have HIDs in the headlights, and regular halogens in the fogs)

Are you sure it's xt?

either XT or ST, doesn't matter. I saw both on the shelf at my local autozone that said "silverstars" and was told there was no difference. The XT is what I grabbed for my own truck. :m2:

most parts stores will have a book or a little computer display to tell you what the right bulbs to buy are.

I got the silverstars in my fog lights and love them. I have had silverstars in every vehicle I have owned since they came out. I am going to buy them for the headlights next. I had a foglight go out so I went ahead and got the silverstars.

They are exspensive but I think they are worth it. I have been running them in my F150 supercrew for over 2 years now and have never had a problem.

Youre damn right they're expensive...40 bucks for a pair this past weekend. I still can't believe I did it considering the frickin lights go out all the time in this thing

hmm... well just keep an eye on them; I've found that silverstars tend to last longer than a normal halogen bulb, so you may get lucky. :m2:

I've got $120 tied up in mine with the lo, hi, and fog beams all having silverstars. I just wish I could rig a pair into my reverse lights. It's near impossible to see anything behind me at night with as weak as the stock bulbs are. :m2:

I have really bright xenon reverse lights (non-LED) and they cost a whole lot less... :m2:

A guy on ebay sold me a whole set:
Fogs, Highs and Lows for $75 shipped

He gets them at swap meets/flea markets

They were NIB, same as in store.

If there's anyone interested, I will e-mail him and ask if he wants me to share his name. Just PM me to let me know if you're interested.

Just BTW I LOVE silverstars... they are much brighter then the stock bulbs and they do look much nicer
I had them in my old truck, 1 out of 4 burned out in 3 years.

I'd be interested. I already have Silverstar lows, but I want to do the highs and fogs too. And it would be nice to have a spare set of lows.

Just to clarify... did your old truck use the low beams as DRLs like our TBs do? I hear that makes them burn out much faster...
