I'm considering attempting to do this myself since I bought the fan clutch and after looking at it, it doesn't looke like too hard of an install.
I was wondering if anyone had done it themselves and had a HOW-TO or some helpful hints.
I have plenty of tools availible and some know how. But have never attempted any fan/fan assembly repair before so I dunno how involved it is.
Any help at all is appreciated!
Thanks

Try a search you will come up with a lot of info.

Here's an old thread with good info from last year. I posted a few comments about how I did mine in #13.

Did it myself today in like an hour and a half. Wasn't bad at all.
Advanced Auto gave me a kit which didn't fit quite right, but it was ok ... we made it work.

Replaced mine a couple weeks ago. It is a job that required patience. I would do it again and this time it would probably take 1-1/2 hours or so. Key points:
1. Make sure the dust flaps on the drivers side of the shroud are loosened.
2. I had to make a small cut in the shroud to clear the top hose outlet.
3. Remove some coolant to prevent spillage when removing the top hose.
4. Use a pry bar to help start the clutch threads. I could not get it started without the force on the back side.

Just lessons learned. Good Luck!
