Hmm the more I look at my truck the more i think it would look alot more aggressive lowered 2 - 3 inches. What are the limitation on lowering it this amount I dont see any drop kits for this amount I assume there is a reason.

The suspension for the SS is different. It sits about an inch lower than standard TB. The SS is so new I'm sure you won't find specific kits for it for a while.
Kits from the standard SS may work, but results might be different than expected.

I think the real limiter for lowering a TB SS will be working with and around the rear air suspension. No rear springs, just air bags. The rear can be "adjusted" to go a little lower, but not sure what effect it will have on warranty, ride, and handling. :undecided
No doubt with the oncoming popularity of the TB SS some aftermarket companies will develop some answers to lowering, but development may be slow in coming.

They (Aftermarket) will come up with something eventually. Smaller bags for the rear so as to lower the truck while still using the same psi and lowering spindles and/or springs for the front. If or when I do get my TBSS I am going
to touch as little as possible. You learn to appreciate stock after spending years fixing all the problems that modifiying can cause. But hey that's just me... mod away! I think I just have bad luck.
Tires that are an inch bigger in diameter would make a difference (i.e. 285/50-20), then you could leave the suspension alone, or make smaller changes to it.

Taller tires will change the rear axle ratio and make for slower takeoffs.

Going from 4.10's on a 30" tire to 4.10's on a 31" tire will make very little difference. I have 4.10's with 32" tires on a much smaller motor and they're plenty fine for power.

Sounds like experience varies. I had 4.10's on my '03 Envoy and there was a noticeable difference between OEM and 1" taller tires. Plus my speedo was off 3%. Butt dynos vary

I'm with you, Sentinel. I adjusted the sensing switch just to see how low the rear would go. Rotating the sensor dropped the rear almost 2"! Of course, this left so little air pressure in the air bag that it bottomed out at the slightest provocation. It took me a while, but I found a position that dropped it a half inch with no penalties in ride or clearance.

Wish it was that easy to mess with all of ours. Hey, welcome to the site Kybuilt.

The sensor is easily visible through the wheel spokes. Here' a link to a pic of the passenger side layout:

You don't even have to remove the wheel, just reach through the spokes to loosen the bolts. Rotating the switch clockwise will cause the system to release air from that air bag, lowering that side of the vehicle. The fun part is getting both sides the same height, and not getting so low the shocks/ snubbers/axle bottoms out when driving.

Doesn't it look funny 1/2" lower in the back? Stock, it already looks a little lower in the back than the front.

The djm a arms wrok in front we tested a set of my buddys djm a arms from his 05 tb on my ss and works fine. Only thing is the rear looked much higher, and djm only sells the front and rear in a kit. you cant just buy front a arms
