So I tried searching the forums, but only got a bunch of "noise". It seems like the search just scrambled everything up and presented it again...
I'm looking for some dyno results of a TB with an I6... Ideally before and after the PCMforless tune, as I'm sending mine out next week... I just don't have any objective information on this tune, and it REALLY bugs me. I talked with Alvin via email, but he wouldn't tell me any specifics. So I have no idea what changes, how my power band is affected... Nothing, and I couldn't find any data on his website, just information about ordering...
Help is appreciated...

If you have the automatic climate control with the outside temp in that screen you can reset the temp by pressing the Mode, Front and rear defrost at the same time for a couple of seconds. Hey what happened ?

^^man, you are fast! That is in response to a question I originally had in this thread regarding my outdoor temperature gauage malfunctioning...
I tried deleting the thread before anyone saw it because I wasn't in the proper category, but decided to change it to ask a different question about the PCM tune and dyno...
So sorry for the confusion!

PCMforless does have a dyno graph for the I-6 Trailblazer. Their graph says I-5, but it's just a missprint.

Are you sure that is for an I6? Looking at the peak horse power of 189, there is way more than a 20% loss of horse power. Normally on a 275 horse engine, on a rear wheel dyno with an automatic, you usually see 20% loss. This is more like a 32% loss.

LOL... I thought it was a little low myself, but I'll take Alvin's word for it. Out of curiosity, what does an I5 peak at on a chassis dyno?

170-180ish. A modded one will touch on 200. That is an extreme.. the larger tires on a TB have an effect.

Cool. The big dip on the graph that's posted above: Is that caused by torque management? Or is it fuel or timing related? I like the curve you've created, Alvin; looks like what they are supposed to look like!
If I do the tune, patch and Efans, what kind of gains can I expect?

^^There really isn't much more that people are doing to I6's beyond tuning, CAI, and now efans, is there? Maybe headers, but I've been told that they only provide minimal gains...

Roggie, PM me and I will send you my dyno sheet with the Borla exhaust being the only aftermarket component on it. I also have dyno sheets of the relationship to my tire/wheel combo and the factory versus Airraid CAI. These dyno sheets were prior to my having EFILIVE and tuning the PCM. My current sheets will remain 'secret' until I am finished tuning.
Don't be surprised that a 4WD with 3.73 gears will have ~23-25% driveline loss (if you use the factory engine dyno specs for comparison).
