The wires will be in a bundle above the kick panel by the driver's left foot. They are even labelled.

Most times with trailer brakes you need to get a controller to go along with them. Trailer Brakes require adjustment based on the load in the trailer. If the TB has a trailer brake control built in that would be news to me but in the past I've had to get a sperate brake controller and new plug which has 6 connections in a circle and one in the center. I think most guys refer to the plug as "7-round".

Yes, you need a controller (which adjusts the amount of voltaqge to the trailer brakes) which you must buy, but there are only four wires behind the kick panel, which is all you need. GM has changed the color of these wires over the years, but they should be bundled together and should be labeled. There will be one large wire (usually blue) and three small ones. The large one goes to the trailer brakes, one comes from the stop switch on the brake pedal, one for ground and one for positive. These are connected to the brake controller. Under the hood there should be a 12 gauge red wire that is not attached to anything sitting to the side of the fuse box. That wire gets connected to the aternator post inside the box. That wire will then charge the batteries, if you are towing a travel trailer.
