Didn't your mother ever teach you to keep it off the streets? :p

No seriously I saw a video one time from a texas f-body club meeting at a hooters; they were doing donuts/burnouts in the parking lot and taking pics. A cop with a B4C Camaro (pursuit edition) came and joined in the fun!!

I bet some Vette owners are pissed.

Why is that? Just because they show the TBSS burning circles around a C6?

I would agree with SlammedLTZ. GM's flagship doesn't like to be a supporting actor.

Was that a Vette or one of Chevys NEW releases.

Exactly. I'm not crazy about the new style C6 either. I still prefer the C5 design. I guess that's a good thing, as I won't have to rush out and break the bank to get a new C6.

Although, a new 2006 Z06 with 500hp would be nice, but I'd rather keep my house than spend $75k on a car.

I know a way to get your existing non-Z06 C5 to 500HP for 15x less than that C6 costs....

That looks like a Maggie. I seriously considered that a while back, but a wise man gave me more options to consider :D I am still torn between REAL brute power (ie. Heads/Cam etc) vs the bolt on S/C that compromises the rest of the stock drivetrain.

I would love to have a twin turbo installed, but then we would be getting into the new Z06 price range...

Decisions, decisions.

Those maggies are pretty sweat. I've heard of a CTS V owner putting one on. It makes somewhere around 540hp.

I would worry about the stock drivetrain also though.

Actually, I've done about as much as I can without voiding the remainder of my extended warranty (which lasts until the end of 2006). Let's just say I'm starting to save up my mod money for spring of 2007. :D

I think if you can afford $25-35k for an extra 120-150 hp. you can afford to buy the parts that will break and usually unless you bolt on slicks and a line lock and try to get your 60 ft. time under 1.85 sec., you won't really break anything, the weak link becomes the tires and as long as they keep spinning, the rest will survive, I know the stock Camaros, will grenade the rear end if they can break 1.8 on the 60 ft. unless they do some changes, it won't survive.

yup, those wonderful weak 10 bolt mains.... hence why transplants for Moser 12-bolt units or Ford 9" housings is popular on drag-built fbodies. :D
