Just want to know on everyones though on this set up for the price? also i was wondering if i could keep my airfilter but take the resonator off, and put a 5 inch long 3 inch pipe there instead. my only question is what do i do with the like that goes into the resonator?

That looks great! I would replace the rubber tube too to allow for a smoother air flow  I bet it sounds much better too!

What I'm trying to do is to make a fiberglass heat shield and make a scoop at the end that would suck air in from the left side of the radiator. There's a plastic piece blocking the airflow, but it can easily be removed. I might start it next week. I'll keep you posted!

Isn't there supposed to be a Fuel Pressure Regulator vacuum hose hooked up to the intake?

my 02 has a fuel pressure regulator with a vaccume hose on it. its not really addressed in the ebay cheapie kits. i put it to the port on the plastic box next to it. has not been an issue yet?? no codes, runs good. im gonna look into it further though. im thinkin both are getting no vaccume now?? surprised it has set no code? my kit came with no directions? and ive never really worked on this envoy yet.

In general there are two types of regulators.
one gets it's reference from the outside air pressure (small tube connected to the intake before the throttle body and the other uses the intake manifold pressure as a reference.
The first adjusts the fuel pressure to the altitude the truck is at.
Your TB uses this method.
If you connect it to the intake manifold (connecting it to that small opening near the regulator. you may find it will run to rich, or eratic.
