I installed my CAI a couple days ago and now the Service Engine light is on. Does anyone know of some simple relationship or am I experiencing bad luck. Anyway, I have not bought a scan tool yet but wondering if its something simple that I may have missed like the Air inlet temp sensor could have gone bad from too much handling or something.

Make sure that you got all the lines reconnected.
then disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and see if the light comes back on.
Check out the pics of of the CAI's in the gallerys and see if the connections look the same as yours.

This is important b/c different year trucks will exhibit different concerns if the CAI is not properly installed :undecided
I'm guessing an '02, so you should look to make sure that every hose is connected & secure. Vacuum leaks are a comon concern after installation on early model trucks
