Yeah I did 250 once but it seems after the Half way point the fuel guage goes a bit quicker. I ended up getting 400 miles out of the tank.

Wow! majestic 280! I wonder how many more miles I would have gone without the A/C blasting? The wheather was 107 so a/c was a must:ugh:

I drove 250 miles not empty but thought I would top mine off. Kinda surprised that it cost me $60.00 Canadian. Must of been a little heavy on the pedal.

I am getting about 110 1/4 tank highway miles, city miles is about 70 to 80 a 1/4 of a tank. I don't know if that's good or not. I do about 70 to 80 all the time. Maybe I should try it with 65 or so....
For my small tank (18 gallons) I get about 250 for normal driving (city + commuting), highway I get about 280+ if I take it easy...
hey Jmal did you mean miles or KM, i could drive with mine 350 - 380 KM depending on City or Highway.. But with my 95 litre Autogas Tank i can get 420 km so together 800 KM :)

I get about the same with my gasoline... on highway driving I can get 450 or little bit more...
I wish we had autogas here too, but we have earthgas only and the conversions are not allowed...
Karo you do realize that our TBs have been optimized for 65/75mph = 100-110km/h top speeds (US speed limits), so driving faster than that will burn more fuel...

gotta remember guys- hes got an 03. and most likely has the smaller 18.7 gal tank. so 210 on half a tank is EXCELLENT.
I also have an 03 with smaller tank. at half way point - everyweek im at 172 miles. and 300 miles when it chimes LOW FUEL.
This is with my in city/CA rush hour traffic between West Covina and Pasadena. (for those familiar with the area) and the original posted isnt too far away. so im achieving about 18 mpg.
If his TB performs like mine- by getting 210 at half a tank- thats close to 22 MPG.
last time I took a long trip with no added baggage and being careful and no AC- I was shy of hitting 24MPG.
he did pretty well for using AC:thumbsup:

FYI, if you have not refueled- wait till light comes on, then refuel and tell us what it takes to refill with and the mileage on the tank

Same with my 05 Envoy. I typically have around 230 miles at the halfway mark, but after that it drops quickly. It drives me nuts because you'd figure "with 230 miles on a half tank, I should get 460 on a full tank"...but alas, I end up with around 350 miles outta mine whent he chime goes off. Leads me to believe the gauge isn't very accurate, or I have another 110 miles to drive before I run out lol. I don't think I'll count on the latter.:hahano:

I think the problem is between the steering wheel and driver seat in this case...:laugh::laugh:

if it only it were that, when i tried to really go easy on it, i got worse mileage, i don't race, i don't go out like a maniac at a stop or red light, i just drive normally just as i would with any other car, when i drove it harder was when i got the tune so i could test it out, and it did'nt do a difference...i have sice then ressetted the computer, changed my map sensor, iat sensor and o2 sensor, it did improve, but i am still in the 11-12 mpg..

woah!.... do all DIC TB have that funny looking PRND321 with a little light underneath?
this is my PRND321 indicator....... and as for gas..... seeing this is normal for me..... and this is on the 18.7 tank...... it will light up the lite when im pretty close to 300 mile on trip meter...... and ill refuel with 16.7 gallons- never fails.

i can get 240 to 250 out of a half tank from full. but only about 180 to 200 from 1/2 to empty. half aint half. but 450 from a tank is ok with the ac on.
was averaging a solid 21.83 mpg on 400 mile trips from detroit to oscoda every weekend with the ac on cruise set at 75mph. got an el cheapo ebay cai and am getting 22.94mpg now, garbage kit but i needed a filter anyway and it was only 45 bucks?? so 1 mpg better is ok with me, otherwise totally stock.

okay and you expect me to answer that question how? I hate to sound like a dumb blonde (cause i'm not) or have this be a situation where just because i'm a girl means i wouldn't understand, but when it comes to all that technical stuff I usually got to take it a notch down before I really understand it lol.
And no i dont always drive it like i stole it..lol..all my driving is city driving if that has anything to do w/it :(

for your RPO codes you have to check in your glove box there should be a sticker wich a bunch of numbers/letters , just post the ones starting with a N,
and I DO NOT DRIVE LIKE I STOLE IT, it's mostly city driving, i have the 18 gallon tank, and when i fill my baby up i usually put in 16 gallons, as i posted in previous post, there seems to be 2 breeds of TB'S the 10-11 mpgs and the 14-16 mpgs ones, so the guys/gals doing 250miles and up on a full tank, must have something more or less than the ones doing 10-11 mpg, BESIDES the bigger tank...

Wow guys & gal, The milage seems to vary alot. At first I thought we were all sharing the same fuel capacity. The trip was to palms springs. For those of you familiar with the area, you know you can't be without a/c. Labor day weekend I'll be taking another road trip to Vegas, I'm going to put premium fuel to see if I get better fuel milage. It's 290mi one way.

Your mileage has me baffled. You are truly the owner of the worst mileage ever. My buddys 6.2 ltr Yukon Denali gets 24 on the hwy. 3.73 gears. Hav eyou thought about putting the stock exhaust back on it?

I had the same nuimbers with the stock exhaust, and if you read closely i am
not the only one with this issue, you either get 10-11 mpg's ofr the 14-16's,

I think the problem here is we are comparing apples to oranges.
For example: I take my high school kids to school every morning. It is about 5 miles one way. There are NUMEROUS stop lights and stop signs, very heavy traffic and a lot of sitting still idling.
My wife drives 12 miles to work - most (not all) of it is 35 - 55 with an occasional stop light. Both of us are driving in "city" traffic. On the rare times when she drives my TB to work, she gets about 15 -16. When I use the TB to take the kids to school/pick them up I get about 11-12. (Believe me my wife has a MUCH heavier foot than I do.) We have 2 other vehicles in the family and we have found the results to be the same.
Bottom line it depends on where you drive, the type of traffic, etc. The "city" driving one person does is very likely nowhere close to what "city" driving someone does.
I recently rented an 07 Envoy for a week with the I6 and 3.43 gears while my TB was at the stealership (I mean dealership) and I got the same results with the Envoy.
The Envoy had the DIC and it was actually within 1 MPG of what my "real life" MPG was.

She gets 18.3 avg miles to the gal with 5,800 miles so far, that is all kinds of conditions from DC area stop and go crap to mini trips of 300 and 400 miles, I'm loving this vehicle  she shows me a good time and demands very little i just keep her pretty clean and shiney.

I find that my mileage varies but that's no surprise. I use my AC maybe
2 times a fill and do a lot of city stop and go w/ a handful of 8 mile trips
on the NJ Parkway. Before I started to reset my DIC for average MPG,
it seemed to estimate less available mileage. Does that make any sense?
My Bravada also tended to only go about 212 miles a tank.
Now I take more risk and continue driving when the warning tone
and "low fuel" light flashes and I do an average of 255/265 miles a tank.
I've also been keeping records of my fill-ups just so I can compare.
Regardless, I believe we (trailvoy owners) can try all sorts of tricks and
upgrades but our MPG's will vary every time since it depends on where
we travel, the driving conditions and how we handle the accel pedal. :m2:

this week has been a little better. Im always seeing 172 at this point.
But yesterday- it was better. This is city/highway(rush hour traffic) and being gentle. and it is the smaller tank. I suspect ill see about 305 miles out of this tank (16.7 gallons)
