i have the EXtended verision with the I6 and take off is really lousy. it seems to have really not much power until 4K rpm. is this normal especially for a heavier EXT model? Im sure a CAI and tuned PCM would help.

If nothing else get a pcm tune. As far as the pickup goes your about right on, they don't seem to really take off until 3K rpm. I have a pcm tune on mine now, really helps the over all performance:thumbsup:.

The stock setup is affected by the Variable Valve timing that kicks in about 3500-4000 rpm ..... then it will take off. The torque management also affects how much grunt it has off the line.

The tune will smooth out your power band so that it is a better feel over the whole acceleration range. It also improves shifts and makes an improvement to the overall driving experience.
