I had my codes checked and they said the light was due to some secondary air system or something. The mechanic cleared the code and the light came back on 24 hrs. later. My TB runs great but the orange light is distracting. Has anyone else had this problem? And how much to fix.

Can you give us the code, might help out a bit more......
Being Funny you can always use black tape to cover the light up.....:crazy:

IIRC, and I just verified with Rock Auto the valve is about 100.00 But from what people said it is an easy fix.
But you might want to get the exact codes and follow the diagnostic instructions BEFORE buying the valve. A member named Prosphoto has pretty detailed instructions in the threads I posted the links to.

I just had this happen to me. Without checking for codes the first question i asked my wife,"Did you fill up?" Yes yesterday WHY!!!! Did you tighten the filler cap up? Yes.... I went to check and she was right about it being on for the exception it was crossed treaded on. Removed it and recapped it. Disconnected the battery about an hour fired up the truck and no light. This happen to me about 5 days or 200 miles and so far no light.

yep, did that myself a couple weeks ago. I was in a hurry and put the cap on sideways or something. I just re-installed the cap and the next day it went off by itself.

I've had 3 fail in 3 years with my TB. i've only got 39K on it. I've seen a ton of people with the same issue, when you get the code it'll probably be P0410

I had a similar problem with my light and i just got if fixed...it was an O2 sensor and the throttle body was dirty...the latter seems to be a common problem so u may want to get it checked out...
