Hi, I'm new to this forum. We just traded in our '02 Envoy XL for a '05 Envoy XL Denali. We (I) never made any mods to the privous Envoy because it was leased and was going back. I have tweeked my '04 Grand Prix GTP and am interested to do some of the same for my wife's truck.

What are some of the first mods you guys did and where should I start? This is her daily driver, kids to and from school, so nothing off road or super high performacne. Also where are some good sites to get things like CAI and apperance mods?

Sorry for all the questions.

Let me also say the new Denali is awsome!

You already got a Denali-- no more appearance mods are necessary IMO aside from silvania silverstars headlight and fog bulbs. Follow that with an Airraid or similar intake and perhaps a nicer exhaust tip to hide as much of the unsightly can as possible, but then I'd say leave it alone.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new Denali. The Denali is awesome.
Not sure what you are wanting to do, but some options are as Charlie says Sylvania Silver Star bulbs; you could look at 20" wheels and tires for more bling bling, a Westers tune for the 5.3L to add to its performance, debadging of the trim on the rear liftgate, a custom exhaust system (will increase interior noise) just to name a few. The Denali is already pretty well dressed up. :m2:

Thanks for the welcome guys. And thanks Tommy for the e-mail. The Denali is great, I have the Silver stars on my GTP and plan to get them for the Denali.

Excuse my ignorance but what are "Airraid" and "a Westers tune", are they air intakes and where should I get them from?

Thanks again for welcoming me, and this seens to be a good site.

Air Raid is an intake -- there are many places that sell them. I would recommend stylinconcepts.com as a first place to look (though others may know of vendors with a better price).

The Westers Tune is a re-programming of your PCM to enhance engine performance -- it tweaks and optimizes the settings to your specific vehicle and drivetrain which = more HP output.
