Has anybody researched or identified the correct lubes for the transfer case and axles? GM of course has their spec number for each lubricant, but Has anybody cross refrenced those numers to Pennsoil, Mobil, etc? I want to use synthetics when the time comes. I have the standard transfer case (2Hi, Auto, 4Hi, 4Lo), and the limited slip rear. Who can can save me the internet research time?

the transfer case only takes GM's AutoTrak II
and the diff's take synthetic 75W90 - I went with Mobil1

Something wrong with the capacity of the front diff, 2.6 pints is NOT .8L! (2.6 Pints would be more like 1.3-1.4L). Anybody know which is correct?

I believe the .8L is correct and that 2.6 pints is either out dated or an incorrect English conversion from metric. Found some specs for the 2006 online and it clearly indicates .8L with no English equivalent. (It is a pretty small housing when you look at it).

Having to crawl under and change the fuel filter and re-grease the stabilizer bushings, I'm thinking of changing the axle fuids myself. Anybody know where to buy Royal Purple? (Saw that it helps stop/prevent leaks in the rear axle in another thread).

Royal Purple's got a "dealer search/list" available on their website. I think most Pepboys have them. A lot of smaller "speed shops" are licensed dealers as well.

When I changed most of the fluids back in July, I went with Amsoil synthetics. I noticed an immediate improvement, no more rough shifting when accelerating hard, rear diff doesnt bang in and out of engagement. Their stuff is a little pricey, but on-par with Royal Purple. A buddy of mine swears by it. I am running Amsoil Universal ATF and Severe Gear 75W-90 in both diffs and Heavy Duty Diesel 5W-30 for oil. I also changed the transfer case, but ordered 2L of AutoTrak II from the dealer, they had it in stock and I picked it up 15min later.
As for the front diff, it takes very little fluid, nowhere near 1.3-1.4qts, I dont even think it took a complete 1qt. Much close to .8qts.
