Can someone verify for me that the Trailblazer uses the same front axle ring and pinion gear set as the S10 Pickup/Blazer? They're the same part number if I browse through the catalog at gmpartsdirect.com.

I spoke with my local Chevy dealer today, and they verified that the FRONT ring and pinion gear set for the S10 Pickup and Trailblazer are indeed the same. They also verified that the front differential is the same for both vehicles. This is good news for you off roaders looking for a locker... cause I know they make a locker for the S10.
