NOTE: This is in regards to Gainesville, FL of Alachua County. Jacksonville, Ocala and other North Florida members may be included as well.
Hey guys, I'm not down for a meet anytime -real- soon because I want to get some mods done before we get people together. But thus far, the only confirmed members of the Gainesville area are Parrothead, hrddv and I. There are probably 100+ trailvoys in the area. I put together a flyer which I have been leaving under the wipers of certain well kept TrailVoys that I see around, but so far I haven't seen any parked SS's or TrailVoys with any kind of mods and what not. You can read a copy of my flyer here: http://members.byond.com/Raven01/files/LoI.doc
I keep about 20 of them in the door pocket.
If you like, you're more than welcome to print a couple out and do the same and even insert your name/contact information in place of mine. I recently bought the white TrailVoy stickers and put them on, they look sharp and I definitely think every member should fly them on their rear side windows unless you're going for the smooth clean look.
Before we put another meet together, I'd like to get a few more members in the area together. Also, last week I attended a local carshow/meet that is apparently done every Thursday night in the parking lot outside of the Gainesville Alehouse on Archer (in front of Albertsons by Target). I was the only TV there, but if you guys ever want to meet up, I will probably be going every week as to by chance catch another TV in the area.
Also, forgive me as I'm usually very good with names, but parrothead and hrddv, your names have slipped my memory and since we've met, I think being on a first name basis would be acceptable.
Alright, thanks guys, hope to see some more Gaineville region members pop up on this thread.

Is Rock Hill anywhere near Greenville? My parents are moving to Piedmont and I will be up there in the winter.
I figure the way to get more interest in the area is to first find members on here that are from the general area and get together with them to talk about promoting/gathering. Going to car shows and looking for TrailVoys would be a sure way of finding other enthusiasts. I've discriminated while passing my flyer out, but only because I don't expect two 50+ year old ladies in an SS to be enthusiasts and I think the conversation might be very awkward.

Hey Alex! Nice flyiers. BTW, my name is Glenn. I am the same way and forget peoples names but remember faces. I have been spreading the word as well. It seems like alot of the people I run into aren't into car meets and computer forums. Undaunted I will keep plugging trailvoy. I have been a bit remiss and not purchased any trailvoy stickers. You have pressured me once again for my next mod. I just have to decide on whether I want the white ones or silver ones:undecided and maybe a trailvoy t-shirt as well.
I will try to make it to the thursday car meets. I was wondering where and when they were meeting. If you are interested or anyone else in the "Gainesville gang", there is a car show in High Springs on Oct. 27th. Just let me know and we can arrange to meet somewhere.
I still have some mods I need to do (a safari bar and some aux lights) but would not turn down a meet if they were not done yet.
Since it is getting cooler, which is not sweltering for the non florida people it may be a good time for a meet. I am hoping we can get more people as well since I must see handful of trailvoys on the road. If you guys are up to a springs meet sometime, I can bring the kayaks.

I forgot about the car show on Thursdays. I wish I do do some mods but I am trying to pay off some bills. We have decided to adopt a child. So we are getting ready for that. (no we have not found one to adopt yet.) Anyway I have some issius with the Thur. car show right now. The Wife tutors then and I do not have another vehicle right now. maybe soon though. Hope to see everyone soon though.
Also the flyers are a great idea.

Thanks, I might be making a revision soon and withhold some of the personal info on there. I'm not a worry-wort or anything, but I've handed them out in some sketch areas and I don't know. I might get a dedicated gmail address for the site, though, as the one given is in fact my personal address.

Glen, the kayaks sound great, did that for my first time this past summer, loved the workout. Glad to know I've pressured you once again. I went with the white ones, I didn't see the silver matching up with my pseudo-pewter color. You can go either way, I would probably go white as it's simple and usually single color window decals are white. I'm working on painting my front bowtie this weekend. Just finished preliminary sanding, still have to smooth it down then I can bust out the rattle-cans and get it done.
The Thursday meets are behind the Ale House on Archer, right around the corner from where we met last time. I heard it was dead last night, but I might do some solo promotion (like my trailvoy campaign) to try and get all the sweet rides out there on a more regular basis. I think everyone usually meets around 8pm or 9pm.
I'd like to get a couple more things done before I showed my TB off to you guys, but with budget constraints I'm not too sure how much I'll be able to do in the near-future.

Congrats on your decision. Looks like the TB is a good vehicle to have!

Great line! It is now my aspiration for that to happen to me!
Got your PM earlier, great info, looks like the upstate area is a little busier than Florida's upstate. I was actually going to head up to NC to visit Alvin at pcmforless, but figured it would be cheaper and that the gas for a 2 hour drive wouldn't be worth it. Anyway, I don't know if/when I'll be having any kind of residency in Greenville as I am an official resident of Gainesville for a renewable 12month lease and will have to attend school through summer and what not.

 Hence why I live here. This is my sophomore year and I love it. My parents are moving next week, found a beautiful place in Piedmont on 2.xx acres for dirt compared to what a place like that would cost in South Florida (where I'm from/ they live). They teased me and told me they'd find a way to get tickets to the Florida vs South Carolina game.

Hah! Win or lose, we love our team. Plus, I'd be honored to attend a game where Urban Meyer goes up against Steve Spurrier.
I've been a solid accounting major since admission, but I'm currently taking the introductory accounting course and I don't know... I like the material and the subject matter, but I'm having some hard times getting the A's I'm used to. I don't think it will steer me away form the major though, I'm looking to complete a 5 year masters, which will result in me obtaining the masters while I was 22, which is a great advantage for me.
