Well Im thinking we should all put in some ideas on this thread.. Ill be interested in getting one individual from South Florida and one from North Florida and myself (Central Florida) to be the official rep for your area. Between the 3 of us we can organize a meet and keep our local Trailvoy people in the loop. We can set a date and location. We must be fair so lets choose a location where everyone can meet without having to drive more then 2 hours from there location. Somewhere in the middle. It would be great! Since 95 runs through Florida directly a location off that Interstate would probably be best so we can all get there with ease... Also, when would the best month be? Lots of ideas would be helpful. Can't wait to hear back from everyone

Alex (shadowclutch), would you want to be the north florida rep? I am also open for more nominations. I'll do it if no one else wants to do it.

Hey I am in the south florida area. I'm always down for a meet but it seems like everyone talks about meets (well atleast in the south FL area) but never shows up. I have tried many times, so if you guys can make somethings happen i am down.

Thanks for the mention, Glen. I don't think I'd mind. I've got a bit of a busy schedule coming up, but we can know for sure once we talk about some dates. In SoFla, I tried to organize some meets at the popular Tower Shops car show, but with old Hemi's and Chevelles running around, TrailBlazers didn't get any attention.

I think it would be great to find a good center location that everyone could agree on. Night time meets limit the meet to conversation and maybe walking around/ dinner. I think if something large were to go down, it would be best during the day for the sake of photo ops and visibility. It seems there will be more of a member density in the Central/SoFla regions, so it looks like us Northern boys will be heading south. I'm a fan of the BBQ in the park style gatherings. Let's hear some other ideas or start figuring out locations. Central Florida guys: Know of any kind of community picnic grounds/parks?

I think a Saturday would be great, those who have to travel can leave early in the morning, get to wherever by around noon/early afternoon and head back when the skeeters come out (lol, or sunset, whichever comes first).

CentrAL Florida rep is here... I am defintiely interested in the BBQ park meet. Out here in Central Florida we have tons of open spots and parks.. Some right in Orlando and others right on the out skirts.. I'll do some research and see what I come up with as far as locations in this area and throw some ideas back at you guys.. We'll be in touch soon

I also like the idea of a BBQ meet. By the threads of other meets it is probably the best venue to get interactions of trailvoyers and lots of photo-ops. Can't wait to see what you come up, bionic man.(Lee Majors).:) It would be nice to see us get a Florida meet going.

It definitely would, I think meeting at a race track just takes the spotlight off of us and our group. The meet should be just about TrailVoys and the members. Introduce ourselves, check out each others' mods, maybe discuss ideas/suggestions, eat and have a good old time.

Once a location is set we should discuss dates because that's the hardest. Right now, due to more and more cold weather, I think a spring meet would be best, plus it gives us a LOT of time to plan (i.e. reserve a location if necessary, get off of work, etc). I'll start a list of things to be brought. No one needs to lay claim to bring what just yet, just some ideas to get the message across; This is going to happen.

- Grill: Either A) the location has a grille setup, or B) someone can bring a portable grill (like a camping type charcoal type)
- Grill utensils, as well as fuel for the fire.
- And of course, a grill master, the person in charge of charring our meat just right.
- List of desired food supplies (hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, condiments, maybe a sub platter or something, drinks, etc) as well as est. price.
- Might be nice for everyone to bring a collapsible chair for themselves, tailgate style. If anyone has one of those collapsible canopies, those are great, too.
- CAMERAS!
Of course, bring friends and family (though if your family owns more than one TrailVoy, they should drive separately! Just a gesture, I'm not being serious, ga$ is crazy nowadays.)
--------
In terms of funding/supplying everything, maybe we can all agree to a contribution price. Keep all receipts of supplies and total everything together and then split it by the amount of people who show up.
OR
We can get a final list of what's needed and just have people volunteer to bring/supply whatever. (I think this will work out better in terms of avoiding tricky financial calculations and so on).
---------
Let's get an email list together to coordinate. You can reach me at alex.trailvoy@gmail.com (hehe, I made the account so I could redirect all of trailvoy's email notifications out of my personal inbox). Shoot me an email (not PM) so I can get everyones addresses on a list and we can do series of mass emails to get the information out and keep everyone in synch. In your emails, just let me know what I can call you (name) and your username as well as your location so I know who you are.

Also, this is a GREAT opportunity to get non-TrailVoyers involved in the community. I will certainly be updating my fliers to include info about this as to entice others in the local area to consider becoming a part of TrailVoy.

Well I am ready for it all people!! I have already been in contact with Alex (Shadow Clutch) about getting this moving. So far there are good locations in Central Florida for everyone to meet at but if anyone has a certain nlocation in mind and everyone agrees it would be good spot then Im all for it. I agree with Alex on the following subjects..

1. It should be a spring meet so the weather would be better abd it gives more time to plan it right.

2. Calculating the amount everyone will be responsible for may be tricky. Maybe the 3 reps for each region (South, Central and North Florida) can get together on a conference call soon put together what will be needed and generate a final cost.

Im going to leave my email address below for anyone who would like to send me any info that could assist us..

Just want to let everyone know that we have a strong community here who have one huge love of our TV's... Lets make this an event to remember and something we can all do possible annually. Im getting excited thinking about the outcome of this all. Food, Photo's, Mod conversations, Ideas and plan Ol' fun.....

New Central Florida member... I'd suggest Daytona. Good parks around for a BBQ/meet and we could top it off with a drive down the beach. When the beach drive is open it's hard enough packed that even us 2WD drive guys could ride and if we get stuck our AWD brothers could help us out!
