I'm not sure if there is already on post about this, but is there any real big difference in exhaust brands? I'm looking to put something on in the next few months, but don't want to spend a fortune. Any opinions?

There are 3 types of exhaust..

Flowmaster type are chambered..
Magnaflow type have a straight threw design and make less noise..

Then you have mangapaks.. and its not even muffler..

If your looking for a catback sys. there are two choices:
Borla
JBA

I have the JBA sys. and I like it alot. It is also the less expensive of the two. The only downfall is that they seem to be hard to get a hold of. Not to sure about the Borla sys., I just know they are a bit pricey. I guess it depends on the sound your going for.

They make an expensive chrome exhaust tip. Runs about $150. As far as an exhaust, I haven't seen one.

i personally don't think brand name makes that much of a difference at all, if you want to put exhuast on for cheap, just get it custom done. I got cat-back dual exhuast installed for only 400 bucks for everything. I went to a muffler shop, they cut off the exhuast after the cat, welded on a little bit bigger piping, split it, and welded some pre-bent piping out to the back with some nice muffler tips. Looks the same, sounds the same, does the same thing, but half the price of borla.

Ya, it makes a difference if you have a Muffler Shop you can trust, and that will give you a good deal. Although, I don't know about running straight pipes on a I-6 though. I'd have to hear it first I guess.
