Trading in the 2003 Envoy XL V8 for a low mileage 2006 Envoy XL Denali. This has the Gen IV vin: M Motor with DOD. Looking for a handheld to adjust shifting, compensate for tire size, and get more efficiency out of it. Hypertech lists this part number as compatible, lists the entire year, model, and the "vin: M" motor in the pull down menu. But when I called today to verify compatibility the guy tells me they don't support the Envoy I5 or I6. I corrected him and repeated this has the V8, then he seemed to get annoyed and said we don't support the Trailblazer / Envoy. I sent an e-mail with the same query last night, but was curious in the meantime if anyone on this forum has had experience with this product, or if there are any other recommendations? Like I stated above, I'm not looking to race the vehicle, just enjoy it and get the most efficiency I can out of it.

Try Edge Products...They make the Edge Evolution...a Dashhawk sort of programmer. Allows you to make changes on the fly and has several different programs for trans and engine.

It's about $400 and it also allows you to pull codes and read all info from the engine all the time. Cool product and available for the Envoy Denali!!!!

Thanks, I sent them an e-mail to verify compatibility. They currently just list the 2007 model, but it seems to do everthing I'm looking for so hopefully it is compatible.

I assume you use one, how do you like it?

After you adjust vehicle parameters can it be removed or do you have to leave it installed? That's not clear on their website. (Actually, had the same question on the HyperPAC).

Well, Hypertech has confirmed they have NO products for the "vin: M" Motor, regardless of what their Website states. Edge also replied the same, although they may suppport this application in a year or more. Bummer, 'cause I need to adjust for tire size :worried:
