After looking at those pictures, it seems that everything went in towards the back so what you see on the steering column must have splashed from the driver's face :p

A guy I work with brought those pics in when I turned in my LTZ and told everyone thats what "really" happened to my truck. That was an interesting few days at work! So then he posted it on our car club page. Got a few reactions out of it. lol

Sensors are in the Bumper i think.. The dears legs would be the only thing that would have hit the bumper..

That is totally nasty.. I have seen alot of deer vs. car, but never one that bad. :o

That is what I worry about happening to me in the fall. I drive to work for part of the way through a place with quite a few deer. And I drive before sunrise when they are active. Anyone know how fast that impact was. Looks like it must have been at interstate speed or more to do that kind of mangling and blood spraying. :worried:

Bulldog
01-09-2006, 07:38 AM
COOL!!! Glad it wasn't me. Wonder if a brush guard would have reduced the impact. I put a brush guard on mine just for this reason. My brush guard in the words of one of my supervisors is "that thing is no joke". I didn't get one of those cheap flimsy brush guards.

wow im glad my run in with a deer in my husbands tahoe wasnt that bad. just a busted windshield and passenger side door. the deer was bigger than that too.... weird. and yes the insurance will total it. i work for an insurance company and i see stuff like that everyday. it never gets old :D

Those are very effective pictures. Makes me want to drive more carefully. The only deer accidents I've seen have been windshield smashes, not interior splatter scenes.

actually it is what you would carry one of those glass pyrex casseroll (sp?) dishes in when you are taking it to another persons house, or a party. Keeps it warm.

in PA - no helmet laws... we call them organ donors now.Anyone familiar with Pittsburgh knows that there are many elevated overpasses. Over a 1 to 3 week spand, two motorcycles took the turn too fast and ended up over the side. One feel further then the other between 25 - 40ft. straight down.

Raising the license age from 16 to 21 for motorcycles wont prevent the horrific bike accidents... The "Need for Speed" doesn't go away with time, you either have it or not. Thus so many 60+ yr olds driving Ferraris... But hey, thats just my :m2:

But hey, thats just my :m2:you see a lot of 60+ yr olds buying Ferraris because of prestige. every time i've ever been behind a supercar like that it's always going super slow. it's not about speed with those cars as much as it's about exclusivity. besides, the "need for speed" doesn't go away with age, but you do get a lot smarter, and the older you get, most of the time you tend to lose that feeling of invincibility that you have when you're young and stupid.

Maybe it's because I am a liberal... I don't like more laws, I want the ability to make my own choices/decisions... The 16,17,18 year old knows there is danger in going 100+ MPH on 2 wheels - and raising the age to 21 isn't going to stop them from doing it... How many trailvoyers on here actually waited until their 21st Birthday to drink? :undecided

How many trailvoyers on here actually waited until their 21st Birthday to drink? :undecidedi didn't wait until i was 21 to drink but i learned to do it more responsibly at about that age. i don't necessarily like more laws either (and that's really more of a conservative thing; less governmental control, smaller government, but that's a discussion to be had elsewhere....) but the 17 year old that is doing 100+ on his bike isn't just endangering himself, but he's endangering anyone on the road around him. yeah, if you're inclined to go that fast maybe age isn't always a factor, but if you're older and more responsible then you're more likely to consider the consequences to yourself and others before you do something ridiculous like that.

Ya, i have never liked the idea of high speeds (100Mph+) and two wheels, your just asking for trouble

If you search for "turbo hayabusa video" on google, you can find one guy that does a wheelie from 55-140MPH and then proceeds to top out his speedo at 220MPH and then keeps accelerating! ON PUBLIC ROADS! (That guy is definately gonna kill himself and others!)

i know i love doing 180+ mph on my sport bike but since my wife got pregnant i have not gone more than 100 - 110 on it and that was messing around with my cop buddy when he was on patrol.
and i am 25
age does not have anything to do with it becuase it takes different situations for everyone to make them more responsible on those things. for me it was realizing that i would be leaving my wife to raise the twins by her self if something happened to me.

One can only hope. :x Not that I ever wish evil upon people, but I'd rather he be the result of an accident rather than the cause, if you know what I mean. Let the innocent stay safe.

I'll disagree.... this is what a 34 year old and a 45 year old do when we're in the Ford GT. See the boost is at -22, because I got the camera ready late, this was a run to 190.
